i think this is how you do it havent tested it yet though 1. download metapad 2. put metapad.exe in a temp folder 3. rename metapad.exe to notepad.exe 4. press windows + r and type cmd 5. navigate to the directory of your .exe file and type modifype notepad.exe -c 6. dont close the cmd window yet, now type makecab.exe notepad.exe 7. put notepad.ex_ in your i386 folder sorry for my crappy directions and i'm not 100% sure if this is how you do it right if not, please correct me oh yeah, you need modyfyPE for this http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/hacked_files.htm

when i try to import my HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry tweaks through cmdlines, it doesnt do it then when everything is all installed and i try to add them to the registry manually, it gives me that message heres my registry file thanks for any help reg.reg

does logonui have a specific version number like boot screens? i was trying to import bmps from an older version to the current one but there are more bmps on the old one than the new one so i dont know what to do with the extra ones http://www.themexp.org/preview.php?mid=130...Core+Unit+1.zip that's the one i want to use but windows can't seem to copy the file over so i thought it had to do with version number is there any other way to convert it?

so to use the regisrty method, i would rename logonui.exe as oemlogo.exe and put it in oem forlder and execute the reg file? or do i need to makecab it?

does the script work for everyone else or is it just me who it doesnt work for? ah, i see it's been changed will try again

maybe you could try killing it? or would that kill the whole installation?

i'm trying to get a custom boot screen to work, but it just wont the computer restarts in the middle of runonceex and then it wont boot it says ntfs.sys missing or corrupted then it tells me to insert my cd and press r to replace it heres my bootlogo.cmd that i run during guirunonce bootcfg /RAW /A /Kernel=OEMKrnl.exe /ID 1 bootcfg /Timeout 0 then, heres the boot screen i want to use http://www.themexp.org/preview.php?mid=123...Blue+Planet.zip i used the file that is compatible like the readme says i've tried this many times but im stumped thanks for any help

im just wondering what apps.log is does it record which programs get installed or something?
