  1. yep here to hehe [EDIT] Trying out a new cd in vmware, so far no problems after deleting that line in [sCSI.Load] [EDIT2] Does anyone know if its better to use nLite or BTS DriverPacks First, does the order make a difference?
  2. I didn't know what the patch was either at first. I went and checked it out, and seriously did not like it. Its not WinRAR anymore , also the icons are too simliar I cant tell whats what.
  3. nice app , thanks for sharing. B)
  4. are you sure you copied all the files from the cd? make sure you have "show hidden files" checked in folder options. Also my advice is if you get into this, that you use vmware to practice, its fast and will save you cd's. Also checkout xpcreate.
  5. omg genious. I gotta slow down and take a look at nlite again, and stop doing this at 3am ty
  6. ok I had the cd in the drive so it was automatically "recovering" them. I took the cd out and tried again and the Windows File Protection came up. But I thought that was disabled by nLite? I would tell nLite to just erase them, but it erases all of the screensaves. I only want to get rid of the ones that begin with "ss" like ss3df ssbezier ssbezier etc
  7. I use DEL "%systemroot%\system32\ss*.scr" to delete the old screensavers, and they do dissapear from system32, but they are magically regenerated a few seconds later. How can I get rid of these old screensavers?
  8. ROCKIN! [EDIT] I just tried it with RunOnceEx.cmd, it works great. I only needed to apply the tweak once after setup.
  9. omg, thats what happens at 2am, haha. cascademenu is probably what i want. I will try it out I need to redo the regtweaks anyways.
  10. I've looked but since WinRAR is used so much, this is the closest thread I could find. Does someone know how to create a folder in the context menu for winrar, I am looking to organize it better like IZarc. sorta like this:
  11. I am getting errors (nothing happens) when I click the "play all" and "play selection" buttons in Music Tasks. I originally posted here [EDIT Oct15] Problem Gone, I believe it was due to using a repacked wmp10.exe and then applying regtweaks on that,
  12. Awesome Stuff! What I also did is replaced the Nero SmartStart.exe (v6.6) with the old one from v6.3.1.25. Personally I think it looks better, but its also 2MB smaller, wonder why... Seems to work fine, as all it does -that I am aware of- is link to the other exe's. btw, I also got 40.4MB for the reduced Nero v6.6, not complaining though. lol FYI: With BEST Compression and SOLID archive and the OLD SmartStart.exe I got a 34MB sfx archive.
  13. This is a picture of "Music Tasks" just so everyone knows what I am talking about. [EDIT Oct15] Problem Gone, I believe it was due to using a repacked wmp10.exe and then applying regtweaks on that,
  14. [EDIT OCT 15] 2 Installs later and changing regtweaks, nothings changed. The problem must be from the JohnnyDo Registry Pack, all my reg tweaks now come from that one.
  15. if you can, go for firefox, the easiest way to knock out 90% of the junk out there IMO. Ditch NAV, don't waste your time with that sucky app. Personally I'd reccomend Zonealarm Security Suite (have used) or BitDefender Pro Plus (current favorite). With Internet Explorer you can customize your security settings and disable activeX and Java scripting, but this can cause alot of good website to not fundtion. Also using XP SP2 can help alot, and ditto the slipstream advice.
  16. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;Installs Royale Windows Theme [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes] "Drop Shadow"="FALSE" "Flat Menus"="FALSE" "SetupVersion"="7" "InstallTheme"="%ResourceDir%\\themes\\Royale.Theme" "InstallVisualStyle"="%SystemRoot%\\Resources\\themes\\Royale\\Royale.msstyles" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DownloadSites] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\DownloadSites\100] "DisplayName"="@themeui.dll,-2015" "URL"="http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=488" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\VisualStyleDirs] "1"=hex(2):25,00,52,00,65,00,73,00,6f,00,75,00,72,00,63,00,65,00,44,00,69,00,\ 72,00,25,00,5c,00,54,00,68,00,65,00,6d,00,65,00,73,00,00,00 I execute these via RegTweaks.reg during RunOnceEx.cmd. 17. This is sweet. I will have to try this tommorow.
  18. Sorry to confuse. I followed the Instructions carefully, I sucessfully added them before as well. I used method 1 for LAN. I used method 1 for MassStorage, which does require modifying the txtsetup.sif file, though a patch.cmd does that automatically.
  19. Throw me a freakin bone! No really, I've downloaded it, but couldnt figure it out. Screenshots were very difficult to find, but once I saw what xplode was capable of I bookmarked it. But I agree it needs a Guide.
  20. Just to be clear the information was added to txtsetup.sif. I've checked over the guides and instructions several times. The rest of setup completes well, there is no errors. My only guess right now is to try another method, but i cannot see why this shouldnt work.
  21. Cant figure this out, I cannot get any other the drivers from Bâshrat the Sneaky's DriverPacks to load at the begining of setup. I've retried integrating the packs several times, and testing in vmware with no results. I've tested them in actual pc's too, no dice. I've done this before with great results. Any idea what I am missing!? [EDIT] Attached Winnt.sif (3kb)
  22. Thank You for sharing these regtweaks, always finding some new great ones. I know this doesnt fix the My Computer misnomer, but it will rename it correctly: ;Correctly renames My Computer. 23. I am also getting this error and have just spent the last 40 minutes trying to figure it out. I don't have a firewall on the machine, my internet connection is working, and I manually downloaded all the updates into the correct folders. How did you fix this? + I am also willing to help troubleshoot the next version.
  24. why havent we seen this before? This is great!
