What might be causing this problem?
grabben replied to nice_guy75's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
Heard it could also mean that its not connected to the intel controller, if it already is then its a driverissue. -

Creating a Recovery Partition
grabben replied to karthikaravind's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
Perhaps your recoverydvd can but Im not sure. otherwise you can follow this: http://en.kioskea.net/faq/4093-windows-7-create-a-recovery-partition -
Do you think that is a problem when I install program, win updates etc? Is it possible to use another installation media than HP's OEM windows 7 installation? yea, use a clean media, get HP certificate/slpkey and OEM media and you're good Then add what you can/want using dism and appslications with sysprep.

You probably deleted abit too much then. -
Well obviously beacuse its in your recoverypartition.. It does reinstall windows to factory.. You probably have a message telling you to press an Function key during bios or an HP software to create recoverydvd.

A visual guide to 7Customizer
grabben replied to blue4603's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
Yes, I have a DVD+R that contains the 5 .wim files for the x86 and another DVD+R that contains the other 5 .wim files for the x64 windows 7 os's. I would love to be able to slipstream all the images with the sp1 update as well. I have tried with the RT Seven software, and it's slow as molasses (ver.2.6 that is)...and I understand 7C cannot do it at all with ver. 0.5...hopefully an update soon? it's painful to install sp1 after doing the install of windows 7 There's only 4 *version for 64bit excl. enterprise. x86 then has 6 versions -

A visual guide to 7Customizer
grabben replied to blue4603's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
You can use DISM to integrate it but it requires some editing of 3 files for slipstreaming and you wont be integrating a *.cab file but a folder so I dont think 7C can do this.. -
I know it was and it actually worked. ABit of a surprise but still not:) It is not outdated. It is still supported by M$. Yeah I agree. However, if supporting vista will not take much effort, I do no see any reason not to support it even if it sucks , BSODs all the time , is slow, is incompatible , is full of problems and I really hate it. Hmmm after saying all of that, let's just forget about it and let it RIP. Regards Well i wrote "outdated" meaning that 7 is newer and way better so we can skip vista:)
-
Very interesting. I didn't know that. So, that means 7Customizer supports customizing Windows Vista (In a certain level). Hmmmm. I think I need to try a couple of things and decide whether to add Vista (which I really hate) support or not. Thanks for the great feedback. @Judgement 7customizer is developed using C# in Visual Studio 2008. Regards Just a personal opinion but I dont think you should add support for vista. Its "outdated" and we have vLite for it:) Plus 7 is so much better than vista.

Me too, actually. Sorry for bringing this up again hehe. Im trying to make an OOBE script that uses WMIC, finds manufacturer and sets OEM branding, user account pictures, wallpapers etc. If asus (for example) goto asus :asus copying wallpapers, pictures to right place, run regfile to apply supportinfo I know searchengines script on MDL works excellent but I dont want to copy his script..
