hi i didn't really understand your last replay , i didn't say its not working under VM i said when i'm trying to excute the file from windows i see only the upgrade dialog instead of seeing my whole setup screen, and i'm sure its cuz i reduced some component with nLite, anyone knows which component?

when i'm excuting winnt32.exe only the upgrade / new install dialog appears, and i can't see the background (my edited winnbbu.dll) . i figured that is has to be something with some comeponent i removed with nLite, (i didn't remove the manual install option) can som1 plz tell me exactly what components not to remove with nlite so it 'll work fine with no problems? thanks

yeah i think ist really strange too but well strange or not, now its working, finally i can check my programs and come up with other problems suck as "unable 2 silently install _____" i bet u'll see it some time in application switches forum don't worry rofl

i'm very happy 2 report that problem solved well the problem was the SP2 exe file. it was currupt! even tough i was able to slipstream it with no problems, it was. iv downloaded SP2 from another location and now i'm not getting BSOD anymore thanks 4 all those who helped & tried 2 help

@aknott - in this thread there's no switches 4 changing the dir of installation @Vann , in google i need to search like this : installation flags app_name_version ? thanks again

so i need to use the copy command and copy the install.dat to C:\programs files\webroot\spy sweeper b4 the command of the install itself?

note 4 hebrew users : an sp2 4 hebrew win xp has yet not been released do don't try slipstreaming sp2 onto win xp heb. BUT what u can do is install win xp + sp2 in english, and then install the mui pack on it and it 'll work just fine u can use ironman " trick " to make the heb pack installs after windows installation (with your batch file or runonce) Regards,

i want to choose my own install dir 4 my apps, can i just add to the line - DIRECTORY="X:\Folder\Path\" and it 'll work? thanks. (iv searched the string "change install directory and i found 15 pages. u don't really expect me to go trought all of them [iv went through 4 of them] )

i've tried using gosh trick to make the cd copy to HD and installing recovery console, and its just ain't working i'm not getting this little screen that says "now installing recovery console bla bla bla"

theres is something i don't get - how does copying install.dat after the installation will prevent the Enter Serial windows during the installation? thanks again
