Hi,I installed Win2000-PFW000001-x86-INTL.exe . still wont work. How do i start paltalk in XP compatible mode ? Win2000-PFW000001-x86-INTL.exe is the Runtime for Dynamic Library Application. PalTalk is Static Library Application. Plz register paltalk.exe XP Compatible mode with fcwin2k.exe Ok sorry,at first i did not understand. useing fcwin2k.exe, Paltalk now Works ! Thank You ! Any chance of geting Paltalk to work with KernelX ?? If not it's ok.As long as Paltalk works,i dont care.

Well Paltalk Messenger updated agian. and it will not run on win2k anymore. So i hope Blackwingcat can help. Here is the Event Log. Few things I hate more than attempting to defend the good M$ guys, but I fail to see how they (or their policies) can be held responsible for (or connected to) the paltalk developers using in their code (knowingly or unknowingly) a dll function that is not present in Windows 2000 (and AFAICU not one of those "essential" or even "needed" ones). Since you are a paltalk user you could tell them how they broke Windows 2000 compatibility and how much this (BTW senseless) move affected you. jaclaz I understand what you are saying.They "Paltalk" broke 2000 compatabillity back in june of this year.Thats why i had to install Blackwingcats Kernel in the firt place.And Paltalk dont support 2000 in the first place.So i doubt they would listen being very few people like my self use 2000.Also Paltak depends heavily on internet explorer.so i am amazed it even works,even with BC's Kernel. I just dont understand why some people "developers" forgot about Win2K.It was and is a good OS. Its funny that even microsoft never released WMP10 for 2K.And the new Versions of Windows Live Messenger. I never could understand that.The version of messenger was the same as the one on Windows 98 thats the highest that you could go on 2K.Like i said,i never could understand that.Well...i can..Because 2000 dont have Product Activation. Why do you think UURollup is no longer maintained? I may be slow at updating it but I've never said anything about stopping maintenance. The CheckNameLegalDOS8Dot3 doesn't seem to be included in the newest version of BWC kernel32.dll either (which is integrated into the newest daily release of UURollup-v11). I see,well thats unfortunate. well then i have no choice to upgrade.sad it seems M$ is been trying to get rid of 2000 even before 2010.maybe because it dont have WPA. oh well ,Thanks for your work Tomasz86 and thaks to Blackwingcat. I will keep checking back at theses forums in case more API''s are added.Maybe someone will get Paltalk runing on 2K. Take care

This Post is for BlackWingCat, or anyone that can help... So i use Windows 2000 everyday for one program. Paltalk Messenger. i talk to all my friends on paltalk,and i have a chatroom also. So i finely installed Windows2k on my main PC,installed Extended Kernel like always. Well, the new Paltalk Build no longer workes with Extended Kernel ! when ran is says... The procedure entry point CheckNameLegalDOS8Dot3W could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll. As you can see,the new paltalk will not work even with BlackWingCats Kernel. I have Windows 2000 installed on alother PC now useing Paltalk. But Paltalk will soon force users to upgrade to the new version.so when that happends,i will no longer be able to use paltalk. Like i said,i use paltalk everyday.So i will have no choice but to Install XP.and leave windows 2000 forever.but i dont want to do that. Anyway BlackWingCat, can you add the API to Kernel32.dll ? Hey guys,i would like to know if Windows 2000 will run on this PC with the XP drivers. Its a Gateway DX4822 PC from 2010,gaeways website onley had drivers for windows 7. However intel's website had XP drivers for it. I even remember seeing something in the Bios for XP. sorry i cant find a pic of the PC. Right now im runing Linux on the PC. I did not change it.,The inf file will not work on windows 2000,it will not accept the inf. I was asking if someone could make the inf work,with Windows 2000. Like i said,Windows 2000 will Not accept the inf.

I Have KernelEx installed,i have a Belkin Wireless USB Adapter.But windows 2000 will not accept the driver.i was wondering if you or somebody that knows anything about inf files would take a look at the file.The computer i have Windows 2000 installed on,the Eithernet port dont work on it.A power surge fryed the port.So i need to get this USB Wireless working. Blackwingcat, Thank you for your hard work ! I just installed Yahoo messenger,and it works Great...Now if i could just get my webcam to work.My webcam is a Logitech C120. I extract the drivers,then install it with Device Manager.The drivers seem to install fine.But in Device Manager it says the Device Cannot Start.I really wish it worked. I guess Logitech dont want people useing Windows 2000.lol Like i said,all the Drivers are listed in Device Manager.But it just wont load the drivers.

Hello i hope someone can help me out.i am trying to find a DVD (Vob) to Xvid converter for windows 98SE that does not require the SSE instruction set.As i onley have a AMD-K6 3d NOW! processor. System Specs,Compaq 500MHZ AMD-K6 3DNow! 128 MB RAM. I also have Windows 2000 installed to if theres not one for Win98. Thanks in advance

Agian,Thanks for replying.Well i remember when i first saw divx on tv.it was a tv show called techtv.and they were showing and talking about divx.it was late 2001.About the time my pc was made.so do you know where i can find a early version of divx from back in 2001? there must me something that will work on this computer....It plays dvds ,Windows Media,Mpeg 2,and Mpeg 3 Great.And FLV Files Encoded with xvid. (Acording to Media Player Clasic.I Was Playing A FLV File In Media Player Clasic.And The Codec Info Said Xvid Codec. Anyway There Must Be Some Video Software From The Year 2000,2001. Thanks Agian.

Well Thats Probably what it is then........well i was hopeing to convert the vobs,to divx,but like i said i tryed to play a divx file media player clasic crashed to Basicly that leads me to beleave anything to do with the divx codec will crash.Oh Well,Thank You For Replying.......Do you know of any "Free" Vob to Xvid Converters ?...... Oh And i have Dvd Shrink...I Used It On My Old 233Mhz..And It Onley Took About 11 Hrs.

Hello,Thanks For Replying...... I installed The c++ Runtimes But That Did Not Help. I have the Divx 6.8 Bundle . And And The Converter Crashes As Soon As I Click The Convert Buttion. I Dont Have Any Other Codecs Installed. It Is A Slow Computer But That Should Not Matter. 466Mhz Celeron,128 Mb Ram Windows 2000 Service Pack 4. And My Test Computer Is A 233Mhz ,lol But Like i Said,Being Slow and Just crashing is two diferent things. I Would Really Like To Try Divix Out . It Must Be Something That Is Makeing It Crash... Hey guys,I hope somone can help me.i have divx 6 bundle.and i cant encode Vob's,thats what i want to do.the vobs are not copy protected. Nor did they come from a copy protected dvd. They are stuff from Vhs tape Of me back in 1993 when i was 14,lol.And also from my dvd recorder i taped stuff off tv..Star Trek,lol..Anyway as you can see they are not copy protected Vobs. So everytime i try to drag a vob to the divx encoder it says 'analyzing video'. Then it crashes...Windows 2000 says "The application has generated Errors and will be shut down.An Error log is being created.No matter what i do it wil not work. I would very much like to use the divx codec. I have two computers and it crashes on both of them. I have tryed a lot of video converters.And they All crash when they Load the divx codec.basicly anything divx crashes. (Two) Computers With Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (Fresh Install)....I Guess Windows 2000 Dont Like Divx.lol Error Log Description: The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 08/05/2009 @ 11:10:23.579 The exception generated was c000001d at address 004B3BD2 (<nosymbols>) Any help would be really appreciated.

Tihiy,Bug report,this "onley" happends when i have 10 or 15 Internet Explorer windows open.i can close all Internet Explorer windows after this happens and it wont go away Intill i reboot.when i reboot everythings back to normal.Like i said,it onley happends when i have 10-15 Plus windows open.So its really no problem. Hey guys,i have a old ibm thinkpad 360CE and i install windows 95 on it and it onley has 16 colors. the bios dont have vesa ext. So in order to get 256 colors i need the IBM DOS Vesa driver.But i have looked on ibm's website and couldent find anything about this labtop.and i have spent a week looking with google.so can anybody help me find the ibm Dos Vesa Driver?
