@Wesmois : please remove the original key from your ini. thanks @Alanoll: I am having problems with the msi, and to explain it simply it doesn't work with the ini, it doesn't even work like winamp5094.msi XAUDIO=1 /qb-! Dunno what to do. And in some tests I even got some data1.cab error. Or sometimes just hanged with the process bar at about 30%. EDIT: VERY SORRY. Hi there, I managed to install it with /s but I am trying to also register it, having a key. And the problem is I tried to track it down with RegMon but no luck. Maybe anyone else been through this or has any idea how to find and export the required .reg after a succesful register? Thanks EDIT: OK I FOUND OUT. but with FileMon It makes a file uedit32.reg inside it's own dir if reg succesful, copy it to a new install, all fine RegMon wasn't succesful because it passes the key encrypted and then it wrote to .ini in docs and settings, restarted app, checked for key, verified it, and wrote the .reg that's it EDIT2: ****, after second restart it deletes the reg and asks again to be registred, I'm stuck, and seems there was another post with this here sorry

sure thing, it was for sp1, I tested with latest sp2 works fine. NOTE. place the file winntbbu.dll inside i386, don't makecab it ! winntbbu.rar

found out a better way. LongonUI app. it even changes old bootlogo to work on sp2 and has nice preview

It doesn't say anywhere, anything about a demo. EDIT: I think i found out the problem, in the guide it said edit first 2 serial XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. But seems there are a few more others, I bet those need to be replaced too

Due to the fact that it used 95% of resources last time I tried, when browsing the logo window ( a lot of events were occuring, a lot of traffic passing through my cable modem, unsolicited stuff, and kerio didn't handle it nicely, zalarm did ok tho )

And what about the update? KB886179 after unpack with winrar it shows a .msp file ( MWJV_GDI.MSP ) how i install this? same way ? ( /quiet /norestart ) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm interested in that MWJV_GDI.MSP silent too

Ok will try this right now and edit with the info. EDIT: ok, the theme was listed in appearence tab as Media Center Style, and I could apply it ! Very nice ! But why isn't it applied automaticaly ? and if not what command/reg would I run to enable it default for all users? EDIT2: could you tell me if I get the same royal media center style theme if I use Nlite + uAE ver instead of regular ?

@maniaq it differes from the original royal by the fact that the close and minimize buttons are smaller, don't like that wish it was the same size, else nice.

I for one can't see the new boot I set, it's oemkrnl.exe placed in the system32 folder, and the boologo.cmd inside cmdlines.txt to apply it. But it's not working Old boot there.

I see the default xp theme service, I'm sure I kept luna theme for instance.

I am confronted with a very weird problem. I integrated uAE ver with nlite, and everything is OK, the pictures, the icons, BUT not the theme itself, that special blue taskbar for instance and everything like that. But xpize is there, and logoff , logon etc are xpized to say the least. I also tried installing the regular version after a fresh install and no luck. I am not sure where to post this, either xpize or nlite forum, but since I am not sure if nlite is causing this I'm posting here. Note: I have some components/services removed with nlite ( which ones could interefere with this ? ). I have added no special tweaks. If anyone wants the seesion.ini from nlite I have attached it here. I really wish I had that nice royal theme Thanks. x.ini

I have always been a fan of partition magic, using ver 8 now, and I just got disappointed. I have lost a whole partition, and got some errors while trying to do some operations in it. I would look to alternatives. Anything better out there ? I have never looked until now ? Maybe Acronis ? I keep hearing about it.
