Hm.. from what i've seen at other message boards the p4 2.4 with 533 bus can be oced to close to 3 ghz. BTW: Didn't the first intel mobos have multis unlocked? And read the manual, u may be able to oc vua jumpers on the mobo.

...Ur current setup is a p4 1.7 GHZ correct? Ur not gonna get much of a performance increase. Especially since ur using less ram. Stick with wat u've got and just upgrade the proc. Or replace the heatsing + Fan and OC the proc.

You could connect 2 HDs thru raid to double your bandwidth could run dual-processors on a mb built for it could also transfer ram from one pc onto another but... I doubt you could connect 2 PCs and make them run as one...

Hmm... i smell flaming. Amd temps are higher, but they can handle more temps. The Tred Bs can handle 90 degrees while northwoods can handle 60 i think... So really, amds give u free heating...
