  1. Ok, think I've got it going now. Does work on Spanish Windows XP There is something easily overlooked. When there is no hardware database file, the program won't make one in automatic mode. In manual mode, when there is no hardware db file, the program ask for the correct path. To get it going I did the folowing: Put a copy of Pro-S on the server share were my drivers are (lots!) and execute it on the server in manual mode. Let the program create the hardware database file ("action" menu) and after that exit. Now we have a valid hardware .db on the server. In my unattended XP install include a copy of Pro-S and the xml config file. After the XP install finishes, Pro-s is executed from GuiRunOnce. As I have most common network drivers integrated, the very first thing is mapping a network drive X. The xml config file is pointing to the hardware db on the share, this is a valid path and so Pro-s uses the db. To be sure I downloaded the latest version. It ran all the way and did not ask me once to install some device. The whole process took only a few minutes and if correctly setup, this will save a lot of time. It would be a better solution to let the program create the .db file (in automatic mode) if not found. For now we will have to create one first. Cheers and thanks for sharing your proyect. Escorpiom.
  2. Well, I have to report that this totally does not work on Spanish Windows XP. Database is not created, program set in automatic mode but I still have to click every darn hardware wizard. Besides that, drivers are not installed at all, even though they are available in the specified path. Second run of the program and the error devices are not detected anymore, but they are still present in device manager. It could be a fantastic utility but this one needs some work. Thanks anyway. Cheers Escorpiom.
  3. For the sake of completeness, the first regpath is not correct, below the corrected one : The information appears at: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Ranges\Range1] The second path [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-507921405-1563985344-839522115-1003 is not the same on every system. Also, there is no need to set this second key. It is set automatic when the first one is set. Other than that, it works fine. Cheers, Escorpiom.
  4. Well, wouldn't that be the Microsoft download center? For your convenience, you can search in English, when you arrive at the download page change the language to French. I myself have to update Windows XP in more than one language and somethings it can be a pain, but in the end it works just fine. Look at the link for the framework 3.5 SP1 languagepack in french: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...f7-dd35e4c02a20 Yesterday I went reading on Ryans forum and stumbled upon Stimpy's version of the framework all-in-one. Stimpy dropped the framework 1.1 version and looking at his arguments it does make sense. http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6431 So now I'm using that package and only 2 languagepacks, 2.0 and 3.5 SP1. The 3.0 languagepack is strangely enough not needed. Another advantage is that Stimpy's version without framework 1.1 installs from T-13, so I put it in svcpack.inf. I did not try to put the languagepacks in svcpack, it might be posible to install the whole bunch from there but I haven't tried it yet. Another option is to modify Stimpy's pack to include the languagepacks. Cheers, Escorpiom
  5. I'm using Windows XP Spanish, and the best solution I found was the DotnetFX AIO in English from Ryan's forum, and afterwards installing the Spanish language packs. Works fine. I believe the same might be true for French Windows XP.
  6. This has nothing to do with your unattended install, but rather an incompatible version of mapi32.dll. When you see this type of message, you can fix it by running a program in the Microsoft Windows System folder. To run the program to fix this problem, in C:\windows\system32, double-click Fixmapi.exe. Fairly simple to find if you just use google. Cheers, Escorpiom.
  7. I'm using a English VLK with localized Spanish Windows XP. It also works the other way around. I've got two unattended XP images, one made with all Spanish patches, I used Windows Update Downloader for that. It lets you choose the language. The other image is in English. You can also use a complete English version with all the English patches, and in the end apply the MUI pack that contains Greek, you can download it from Microsoft. Just take care, that if you install Internet Explorer you have to install the English version and afterwards apply the MUI pack for Internet Explorer. As a sidenote, localized windows versions are a tad more dificult to integrate, I found that when using Greenmachines svcpack.inf, mostly because of absence of language packs. Hope this helps, Cheers, Escorpiom.
