Yes it is down I believe he is working on the vista sp1 install problem.

The problem is with installing on a vist sp1 machine.

Hi I am trying to use WPI to create an unattended install of my Sony Apps...they are about 20-30 sony utility apps.....using WPI ussf it comes up with error "undetected pe file". How can I get hold of theses switches...? Thanks.

Hi... Have just installed my Vlite disc, however ther are a few problems...:- Even though I filled in the user name and PC name in Vlite....it still asked me to input these during the install. Also during the completing installation stage it stopped twice for user input..stating "unverified publisher do you trust the source etc" Is there something I can do to fix these issues.....? As it is.... it is not a fully unattended install. Please....Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi.. I have made a vlite vista disk (Thanks for the awsome prog Nuhi). But am just wandering How would it work with a partitioned drive....will it automatically install on the 1st drive at the top of the list....? I don't want it to wipe out my d drive on my laptop Cheers.

Hi ....I have just created a custom vista disc using vlite.... Questions regarding the WPI app ....on the guide for Command 1 it says eg "%wpipath%\Install\CCleaner.exe"...but further down on the known bugs section it says to remove the quotes on the config area...because otherwise it doubles them afterwards? I am confused as I would have thought the guide would be updated....so do I leave the quotes on the command 1 section or remove them? Lastly.....am I right in thinking to get wpi to auto install the apps after logon ...First copy the contents of the vlite custom disc on to a new folder then do I just have to put the WPI folder on the root of the new folder and then burn the Contents of the new folder to DVD....? (will it be bootable this way)...? or do Put the contents of the new folder into vlite to make it bootable...? Also in the guide (further down) it mentions to put the downloadable sources folder on the root....however there is already a ( much bigger ) sources folder on the root?...will it still auto install without the downloadable sources folder...ifnot As it already exists ,do I put the contents of the downloadable sorces folder into the existing sources folder...? Hi....ref the location of apps ie install folder Can someone please tell me .....in the help files and example ie cc cleaner...it says to put the cc cleaner .exe in the install folder. My question is if the app I want to install is not just 1 .exe .....example.....anti virus package (folder name "Nod32" ,which has many files including a .exe, Do I put the "Nod32" folder into the "install" folder...or....do I put the contents of "Nod32" folder into the install folder? This way all of the apps would be in the install folder but not in their own separate folders...? Help appreciated. Thanks.

Hi I have searched ...but can not find one for Sony.....I have tried pointing vlite to the folder where I have copied the Sony recovery disc to (It was s double layer disc...containing vista + drivers /apps) But vlite reports no valid vista files? I do also have standalone retail vista...but I would like unattended install of certain apps as well as pre installed sony drivers/certain sony apps ...which I can't find an option for on vlite...is there an alternative/addition to vlite that would allow this? When using the official created recovery disc it installs vista the forces you to intsalll the applications/drivers as well....I tried creating the 2 disc version (disc 1 vista files disc 2 applications = drivers)...but after disc 1 it still says you must install disc 2 proper operation...and that message kept popping up every now and again...even when you close it.

Hi I am just looking into vlite....is it possible for me to make a custom vista disc for my Sony laptop..using the sony recovery disc....( but taking out some of the sony rubbish that I do not need + updating with the latest sony drivers)....? I know this can be done with a retail vista disc....just not sure about a manufactur's recovery disc. Thanks for any help.
