i your using a winnt.sif file u cant alter it, cutting out the line that has your key in it, windows will then resort to doing the "normal" operation for that setting, thus asking u 2 insert your key u will have 2 reburn the cd & reinstall, or make an ISO & test in vmware

yes, thats probly the reason, SP2 blacklisted more keys then sp1, so its probly possible your key is banned, if u got it illegally , if its legal , make sure u double check your winnt.sif file make sure u wrote it down correctly, then call microsoft
