@leungda YES, just download and place TCPIP.SY_ on the \I386\ folder. @Alanoll it's said that there is a problem with the unlimited connections fix. @prathapml i hacked the file myself because i like to know what it changed on my unattended CD and because i found a 50 connections patch and an unlimited (problematic) connections patch, but i couldn't find any with a different number. The english file works perfect on my system but not of my numbers of connections taste @Alanoll, i dunno 2... lol @RyanVM not that useless, i haven't updated jet my sp2 and when i go to WU i can't find any hotfix

to boot your system as ninnox suggested, recover the wpa.dbl file and place it in the same folder. i can't help u with the activation thing but maybe (just an idea) why don't just call to m$ support? if everything it's legal they can point you in the right direction, but as a personal impression i doubt that it can be done without reinstalling... dunno

I have hex edited the file as many people have done but this time for 100 connections. This file it's from spanish language but it MUST WORK on any other language version of XP. probably the username must be longer than 3 characters and also check than the name of your computer it's different than your "%username%"

this is strange, my xp language version it's spanish but i use the tcpip.sys from that page and it works like charm... ...so i cab it and added to my unattended installation, works perfect too...

it has take me a time to fin this link ...and in winnt.sif [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WINDIR%\Resources\Themes\BioHaZaRD.theme"

what i thought it's that the downloaded file was in a different format than bmp so you couldn't play with it... the file you download it's a .bootskin filetype to be used together with bootskin application. if you want to modify your ntoskrnl.exe you need to extract the resources from the downloaded file, let's go... open the file with winzip and extact .bmp files, then use a program like "resource hacker", open your ntoskrnl.exe and replace the necessary resources. now you got a new boot file more info about this can be found on this forum, use the search button

first, to use that regtweak you need to change the [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1454471165-1580436667-854245398-1003 value so... ...and prathapml pointed the best option, simply specify a .theme file in your winnt.sif and include in the theme the wmp skin you preffer

@a06lp i have rebuilt the iso many times, not an iso problem... @Alanoll that was what i thought but i can't find any sintax error and i've removed added entries, no luck it's sp2 txtsetup.sif, sure @bonedaddy i've got a backup directory so everytime i use nlite i copy that folder again, it's not problem of nlite (now i'm even sure) i think the easiest solution it's to redo integrate into a clean xp installation, i'll let you know if i find something, thanks every1

on text-mode setup i recieve this error i checked my winnt.sif and my txtsetup.sif and everything it's ok, they are the same that worked on previous installation no nlite shrinkage and i haven't added or removed anything from the previous working xpcd. any1 knows what .sif file the error is referring to?
