  1. Thanks everyone! Bonehead me should have just followed the directions first. Sorry for the bother. I'll pay closer attention next time.
  2. Thanks, but that is the web setup file. I'm looking for the full 18 meg IE6 sp1 download.
  3. Under "misc" downloads on the main page, the "full IE6 sp1 download" is listed. However, clicking the link brings up an "admin install" page with no mention of where to download the file. Am I missing something?
  4. Glad I picked up that new Radeon 9700 Pro. 4617 3Dmarks. Can't figure out how to insert the screenshot?
  5. Hit the START button, then RUN then type in MSCONFIG and click OK Click on the START UP tab and uncheck what you don't want to run.
  6. Did you install the latest via 4 in 1 drivers from www.viaarena.com ? (assuming you have a VIA chipset) Did you upgrade your motherboard BIOS to the latest version? Did you upgrade to the latest Nvidea drivers? Check the Device Manager for any hardware conflicts. Also check sound card drivers. Is the fan (if there is one) spinning on the video card/CPU? Also, shut down any background apps like Anti-Virus or Screensavers.
  7. After installing the WinXP SP1............ Whenever I start a game i get the following message: The program you are trying to run requires a current Indeo codec. To obtain a current driver that is compatible with this version of Windows, please contact the manufacturer at http://indeo.ligos.com The Indeo web site says that there is no updated driver for WinXP???? Anybody had this problem?? Thanks
  8. yes, Roland is exactly correct. WinXP does not support FAT32 on drives larger than 32g. The only option is NTFS
  9. Don't have an answer for you, but the exact same problem has occured on my system after installing SP1. A temporary work around is to go to "manage identities" and then configure the "use this idenity when starting a program". Select the identity you need, close outlook express, then open it again. The new identity will start. Looks like we are gonna need a SP to fix the SP
