  1. I have used several programs to work with ISO files such as Winiso and ultraiso. I am looking for a porgram that would do the fallowing. 1.) you could right click on say a bin file or other supported image file and get an option to convert to bin iso etc? 2.) In windows explorer to just be able to select a bunch of files and right click and choose create cd image such iso bin or whatever.
  2. Ok well I haven't checked this post for a few days. Thanks for those of you who posted some information I got everything to work now. I really was hoping this would not have gotten off topic as it has but i guess that's the way it goes. BTW for those that want to know I did search and did not come up with results.
  3. Ok well EXCUSE ME! Seems as though people are getting rude on the forumn these days thats too bad use to get lots of good help and information. Ok but anyhow I'm not seeing MyDVD V6.0 unattended install on the forumns in the search. I did find a link for PowerDVD 6.0 though i don't have the files it says you should have so i'll have to do more research on that one.
  4. Anyonw know how to install the fallowing applications unattended using the runonce method? Sonic MyDVD V6.0 Cyberlink PowerDVD V6.0 DVD Decrypter DVD Shrink Also I am installing adaware the install is silent however it pops up the help screen and the program as soon as its installed anyone know of a switch to turn all that off? Also looking for a good CODEC pack aif anyone knows of one.
  5. Now that I have my XP Unattended working great. Is there a way to customize internet explorer automaticaly as far as security settings, options well bascially everything about it?
  6. please share how did you acomplish this?
  7. Ok well maybe my bios does not support 48bit LBA but I would have thought it did. Today the bios see's the HD as an unknown device. So confused. Dell GX 270 Bios A06 Windows XP SP2 200GB WD HD. Can't get it to see all 200GB If I connect the drive to the internal IDE controller it does not recognize the drive. If I plug the drive into my usb external storage box. Windows XPSP2 see's the drive but only as 128mb
  8. Bios recognizes the drive correctly so i would think it support 48bit LBA.
  9. Bios recognizes the drive correctly so i would think it support 48bit LBA.
  10. Does anyonw know if the 48bit mode hack is still required for windows XP SP2 with hard disks larger than 137GB?? I'm refering to article. KB30313 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;303013 The reason I ask this question is I have an XPSP2 machine that will not see a 250 GB HD larger than 137GB now the registry setting is not in this XPSP2 box. But I would have thought with XPSP2 this would have just been automatic??? ATAPI.SYS Version 5.1.2600.2180
  11. Does anyone knwo where i can get the older cdshell to try this out? I went to cdshell.org and all i'm seeing is the 2.1.3
  12. You know thats a good question how do i find out which version it is? I bet it is the newer one though.
  13. I have created a multiboot dvd its 3.4GB in size thus its ona DVDR. I burned the image to a dvdr mounted it using daemon tools and then used virtual PC to read the disk. Everything works perfect all my menus work all my os's load correctly with no problems in virtual PC. I take the disk to a DELL GX60 with a DVDrom drive. boot up shows my menu's just fine. any option i select though all i get is a blinking cursor in the upper left corner of the screen Nothing ever happens. Any ideas?
  14. Is there a way in cdshell to use multiple cd's and for it to ask you to put in the correct cd and also detect rather you put in the right cd or not. This is what I have currently due to size I ended up with two DVD's Disk1 Windows XP Pro Windows XP Home Windows XP MCE Windows 2003 Enterprise Server Windows 2003 Standard Server Windows 2003 Web Server CD2 Dell Optiplex A01 CD Dell Optiplex A02 CD Dell Optiplex A03 CD Dell Optiplex A04 CD Dell Latitude A13 CD Dell Inspiro A01 CD Its to large to be once cd. So on disk one could I make the menu option for the second cd and then once open it prompts for the cd 2. However i'd like to add som erorr checking i guess you would say If for example cd 2 was not in and the correct files was not there it would prompt you again with out erorring out to the shell.
  15. Something slightly different then what you have been doing but it just might work. Tell me what you think i'm considering trying the same on my CD Instead of booting to the text based portion of setup and letting that run how about a windows PE install. So maybe something like this. Create an HTA file to run inside of windows PE giving you the different options for install example 1.) Windows XP Pro Unattended 2.) Windows XP Pro OEM etc but just before the line of winnt32.exe / make it call the getcd.exe first thus giving you the correct drive letter?
  16. Does any one know where the start menu items get created with XPE on barts PE?? I ant to add a couple of items to the start menu but I have no idea where its located.
  17. Thanks perfect that should do what I need
  18. Thanks Yeah i know that way I do that already with a boot disk just wondering If I can add the ability for PXE.

  20. I apoligze if i'm in the wrong thread i was not sure where to post such a question. I am looking for a software package server package that can be run of a windows XP Pro installation that provides PXE Server boot capabilities. In other words i'd like to plug my laptop in that is running windows XP Pro into a network and be able to go up to a workstation and boot of its PXE boot card right to my laptop. I know I could use server 2003 with RIS services but I would rather have XP pro on my laptop and not server. is this possible does any such package exist?

    WinPE XPE

There is a plugin for BartPE called XPE is it possible to make either this plug in work with Microsoft windows PE? If not is there a way i could make something like this work in Windows PE?
  22. how secure is it? Are you able to do a push install or a scripted install?
  23. What does everyone like for remote control software? I have used Radmin V2.1 for quite sometime now. But it seems awfully slow on Windows XP machines. From my understadning this is going to fixed in Version 3.0. However 3.0 has yet to ship and at the rate they h ave been going I have to wonder if it will ever ship. And if it does ship will it be up to speed at that time. VNC is another alternative however security does not seem to be as good as others. What is everyone's take any others i'm missing that are good of course there is PC Anywhere but its huge and bulky. Anyone got a suggestion on a really good smal footprint Remote Control utility?
