So i went to %TEmp%\nero7.temp folder and can't find that file... can u send upload it to somewhere for me? Hi Tempuser... I used ur nero installer to install everything in Option 5 and I found an error in Nero vision upon first start It says "Fail to open Subsytem" which is weird.... The original Nero installer is tested with winrar and has no error I followed steps from first page then replace with ur installer then the error occurs I also used InstallShield to make my own installer and the problem still there... Can someone verify for me? I need Nero Vision very much~

How to customize About Windows tag?
nam265 replied to nam265's topic in Windows XP Media Center Edition
Thanks alot, that's what I was looking for~ My personalized UXPDVD at last!! -
In Windows XP Pro, modify the winnt.sif then i can force my default theme for UXPCD upon first logon. However, that does not work in windows MCE, even I specify to use Vista theme as default, upon fist logon, Windows automatically use Royale theme. So my qs is, what can be done so i dont see Original Royale? Plz help, Thx in advance

Here's the case, In windows Xp Pro, i was able to replace the original "About Windows" tag via Resource Tuner with some cool personalized tag of mine. However, it can't be done on WinMCE, so i guess the explorer.exe and msgina.dll files are not related. Plz if anyone can find out which file responsible for the tag, post it here. I really appearciated (one step away from perfect personalized WinMCE) THX

Man, I had the same problem too... Altho my driver installed successfully, my "Creative Control Volume" wont start but just gives me an error said "The audio device supported by this application is not detected." if so, how can i change the Output into WAV? Through original volume control? Plz help ps i tried reinstall my driver many times already, but still no hope i guess Creative needs to create a new driver set like nVidia and ATI did. Just for Vista.

Acutally, do u mean "unplugged" as both PCs aren't able to surf on Net, or u mean the two local PCs weren't able to stay connected, leading u to unable to share files between the two? am i correct? cuz i'm having that problem.

ohh Noo That won't work!! for sure The reason is .. File in XP Pro CD is different from Files in original MCE 2005 CD1 and those files will refer to CD2 files to install MCE but it if you just put what's in CD2 into Winxp Pro CD However, it isn't impossible to make a MCE since you have CD 2 of MCE and XP Pro All you need is a something called "MCE 05 Transformer" winbase presents MRMPFPP_EN --------------------------------------------------------------- Microsoft Windows XP Professional to Media Center Edition 2005 Transform Pack - winbase _______________________________________________________________ These files will help you to make yourself a retail CD of Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) 2005 --------------------------------------------------------------- I N S T R U C T I O N S 1. Put any English Windows XP Professional setup files into a temp dir on your hard drive. 2. If these files don't still contain SP2 integrated - it's time to slipstream it now. 3. Move \I386\SP2.CAB from your temp dir into the folder \SP2\ of this release. 4. Run \SP2\repack.cmd from the release, and wait until it finishes. 5. Now move all the files from \CDRoot\I386\ folder of this release to the \I386\ folder of your temp dir. Overwrite all existing files when promted. NB: after running repack.cmd, the \CDRoot\I386\ folder will also contain new SP2.CAB. 6. Get NETFX.CAB from CD2 of either MCE2004/2005 or Tablet PC 2005. NB: NETFX.CAB can be also found in full package of SP2 downloaded directly from Microsoft (look in \i386\root\cmpnents\netfx\i386\) 7. Put NETFX.CAB to \CDRoot\CMPNENTS\NETFX\I386\ folder of this release. 8. Then put the entire \CDRoot\CMPNENTS\ folder into the root of your temp dir. So your temp dir must contain at least the following: +---CMPNENTS | +---MEDIACTR | | \---I386 | | mediactr.cab | | PLUS.CAB | | SONIC.CAB | | | \---NETFX | \---I386 | NETFX.CAB | \---I386 (and all the stuff in it) 9. Burn the CD using Nero or make an ISO image using CDImage (included). _______________________________________________________________ regards winbase team 3:39 11.11.2004 I got this somewhere on the net and proved to be working In addition, contact me through AIM: Nam6262 if you have DSL so it wont be a problem if you want this package... Alright so back to the topic, Winxp PRo + CD2 along WONT It must combine with Original CD1 of MCE which come with this package Hope that answer your question~
