  1. What about right-click the download link and save as?
  2. Try to download again. It worked for me.
  3. Thanks I am looking forward to test it Download, download, this is the best software that gives you the Vista-look on Windows XP
  4. - Great - Directory is attached to this post. I hope you got what you need. (I had to ZIP the folder, and then RAR the file, because of the file size.)
  5. - It was set to 48. Set the standard to 32. That helped (And personally, I prefer icons next to "My computer, My documents", and so on (XP), on the start menu. On Vista, this will be viewed and updated automatically up in the right corner on the picture, which should be hard to make identically for Windows XP. Or what do you think? I think it is bored with only the text. But this happens only when the Visual Style is installed (from the extras). Eventually replace the start menu with something different). - That's good. - Check further down this page. - The "installation wallpaper" is the fancy background when you are installing Windows XP. You didn't change it but I like it Screenshot added.
  6. Using the CD Patch Option: So far, the CD Patch option did not update the "Time and Date" icon, "Timezone" icon and the "network configuration settings" icon. Everything else were updated as i wanted it to be like (Boot screen, the "installation wallpaper" and the rest of the icons) I don't know if you are going to patch the "final wizard" before entering the desktop (the protection of automatic updates, the question mark helper, or the network installation, all of them are icons, eventually patch the blue background and the windows xp logo). But anyway, this was not changed at all. And i must SAY that the logon screen was absolutely a big change I am happy now, that it shows the vista orb up in the left corner instead of the green grass and the old logon screen you had earlier in the release. And i am happy with the new windows xp logo on the "winver" task (about windows). The only thing i don't like there, is the "light-blue-line" between the logo and the text below. The screensaver is the same old Windows XP as well, not updated. (But this was only using the CD Patch Option, right?) Let's look at how it performs on after installation... Using the Installation option (with extras): It seems to be some bugs with the start menu. The first letters of "my computer, my music" and so on, has disappeared, not good. And the "start menu search" should not be there. It creates trouble with the start menu, when it comes to the "log off or shutdown computer button". The screensaver seems to be old-fashioned too. Is there something you want me to check out while i am testing?
  7. Well, i got the link, and i am about to test it right now, and see how it looks. First, i will do the CD Patch option and then create an ISO-file i can use to install it on VirtualBox. And then install it normally afterwards (on the virtual computer, of-course).
  8. Well, i justed picked up some "resources" that i hope and wish will be viewed in your next version (Or something like it). Screenshots added
  9. So, do you have any thoughts about when the new Vistapack will be released? Any screenshots from it?
  10. - that second post, those are my things Yes, of course it is your things I haven't been thinking to steal your work, I just wanted to show the greatest stuff you have done successfully with Vistapack, that i really really like. - i know some things need a lot of improvement man, i am working on it and i am not going to include a lot of extra software man, i hate it when my system gets slowed down by running stuff in the background. Well, i agree with that - and about the "cursor" in the right corner, trust me... its not the cursor, its custom made. and not by me its very hard to make a nice one for in that corner. What do you mean? What is that "cursor" for really? It doesn't attract the beauty of windows very much with that cursor, really. Shouldn't it be better with the Windows Vista Orb logo? - language support only done for the installer, not the patcher... No english language support on installer? - shutdown dialog fixed in new version. logon changed too Are you telling me that these changes has been made and will come in a new release of Vistapack XP? - (Will there be an option to choose what to be installed when it is patching my system files, not the extras?) no, i dont see the need for that. Well, i was mostly thinking about the logon- and shutdownscreen. If you could move them to the Extras. But, if better logon- and shutdownscreens will come, i will agree with you - but thanx for your ideas, i hope i can get you in my fanbase, but i am only human man. i can only do so much damian666 But if i suddenly finds something useful, that you eventually can integrate in this pack, i can come with some ideas. If that is okey for you, of course.
  11. This is how the REAL Windows XP should look like these days and I LOVE THIS KIND OF BEAUTY:
  12. I got some ideas about how to make this Vistapack (XP) better: 1. Will there be an option to choose what to be installed when it is patching my system files (not the extras)? 2. Well, there is a few things i really don't like about the current Vistapack (XP). - The logonscreen and the shutdownscreen, including the box where you can choose to log off, restart or shutdown your computer, should be exchanged to something else and better, than what is provided. It seems pretty outdated, than the real Windows Vista. Try to make it look better. - The windows flag (which seems to be the aero-cursor with a black background, why the aero-cursor?) in windows explorer, up in the right corner, below the "close" button, should get the VistaOrb - windows flag instead (Startbutton in Windows Vista), and "About Windows" (typing winver on the run dialog box) should be improved. Look at the picture below. I don't really like this at all. And the bootscreen you have made, is the best bootscreen i have ever seen on Windows XP. Don't remove it!! The same thing applies to the wallpaper you have made!! XPize has some resources you may use. And i think that there exists better logon- and shutdownscreens, based on Vista-XP style. And, will you include some other extras, for example found in the Vista Inspirat Bricopack? And also, take a look at this guide: Get the Vista look on XP. By the way: Why is the language of the installer totally different (Some other language than English) than when you are going to patch your Windows with Vistapack? The system, some of the screenshots too, is coming from a virtual computer i have testet using VirtualBox, since i don't want to format my computer all the time just to test a piece of software that make windows look better.
  13. If you can combine everything from XPize 4.6 Final, XPize 4.7 Beta 2 and this Alpha version, into ONE package, i think you should get the most out of it When i integrated SP3 into my Windows XP SP2 disc, i integrated these three packages as a hotfix after the SP3 integration (Using nLite, last edition, 1.4.5 final), and i installed it without any problems, and everything came with it without any problems at all
