  1. hey i found an older version of this program that is freeware, if anyone wants it pm me.
  2. ya screw that theory, this script no longer works...
  3. ok i think i got this figured out, and microsoft told me how to do it lol, well sort of, you can adapt this information to make it work. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...123120121120120 my theory, create the SP1 vbs file as shown in the link, make a cmd file that runs "script.vbs xxxxx-xxxxx-xx-x-xxxx-xxxx" (ya i no dashes are totally wrong) install winxp using the key the instalation accepts. let the instalation run its course, then using guirunonce (or whatever you use) run the cmd file you made earlier. Im testing this now. Ill post if it works. (Im also hoping this will not be considered warez in anyway because the source i found it from was actually microsoft.com, so please someone just tell me if so, im not looking to be banned.)
  4. back to the origional post, my theory on what was trying to be done was there was a VALID "vlk" key in winnt.sif so the instalation worked fine, but M$ for some reason didnt like the key after instalation and decided that he shouldnt have access to windows update, but LordB has another key which M$ does like for windows update but does not like for actually installing the os. Kinda hard to follow, but i 100% believe thats possible. So (I believe) Lord B would like to know how to install XP using one key in winnt.sif but then change the the key to another one sometime during instalation silently.
  5. Thanks gamehead, now any idea what the prog and device are called, what they cost, or where to get it?
  6. Is there anyway I can get a program that turns a thumbdrive into a password? Basically I want to use it as a key sortof, like the computer doesnt boot into windows, or doesnt logon to windows or some way that basically completely disables the computer without having a particular thumbdrive inserted. Any help is apreciated.
  7. nvm all, i just realized my msdn has 2k4, thats useless.... and the slipstreamer 1.1 doesnt work anymore for some reason, anyone have any suggestions?
  8. What files need to copied from the i386 of MCE 2005 to slipstream into Pro sp2?
  9. Ok, ive used this before so i no it works, but now all of a sudden the cmd is saying it cannot find MP10Setup.exe when it is clearly in the same folder, any help....???
  10. hmm, i never looked at the topic date, i thought that guy meant the program has been out for a year or sumthing, idk, i wasnt thinking straight
  11. arite, heres a suggestion, and im suprised you actually left this out, in the data section put a check box next to turn on automatic updates, ive also pmed you.
  12. thnx totoymolo, but im not looking to download any software just to build a batch script, waste of harddrive space if you ask me, and if all newbies, )yes im calling myself a newb, and ive been here almost a year and have 87 posts, but hey, we all still learn) use programs like these to build their scripts they never actually learn how to build a batch or similiar, they have programs do it for them. I just want to know the code to install an msi and include a product key.
  13. Im new to msi files, could someone post what a batch should look like to install this silently?
  14. when i install using that code it seems to work, but the folder is empty, also, when i run msienc /i "Microsoft Virtual PC 2004.msi" /qn it installs perfectly, but when you run it it says no product key was found. Now i def think that the .exe has something to do with how the msi file works.
  15. ok let me clarify the install dir of virtual pc 2004 setup.exe just runs, Microsoft Virtual PC 2004.msi, if you rename mvpc2004.msi to something without spaces and run the above command on it, it installs and says sumthing about product key cannot be found, but if you just run the setup.exe everything installs fine. I think the setup.exe has directions for the Microsoft Virtual PC 2004.msi file or sumthing. I also tried running /s on the setup.exe and its not silent, i tried all the tags on setup.exe and nothing works, any other ideas?
  16. hey can anyone tell me how to seach certain posts inside a particular thread, i wanna try to find a tutorial on how to integrate extensions and themes into a firefox instalation, then repack and and not have to call the extensions, and import them. Im just to lazy to read everything on 42 pages
