i have got the hotfix would it be agaisnt the rules to share it? if not where could i upload it to it also solved the problem for me with the svchost.exe CPU Usage Poll at 100% the detation went alot faster, and on here the sfc is disabled. also the fix will be included in sp3 and happrently acording to the guy at ms tech support sp3 is due ou late jan 07??

Hello I have a problem, When I boot up my computer the CPU justs to 100% and just stays like that it doesnt go up or down. just stays at 100% I had a prblem with a trogen a few weeks back , but i got rid of it, it disabled the task manager, but i have now got it back, could this be related even though the virus was deleated? Hello all, I need some advice on building a new pc, i do alot of video editing, and mp3 mixing. and im on a 8mb adsl. My old xp3200 and A7N8X system is becomging incresingly slow and unreliable ( i have to resotre the ghost image 2 - 3 times a month as this system grounds to a hult., it also overheats alot disbite me chaging the cpu heatsink and fan and the graphics card fan to more powerfull ones. also i currently have a 400w psu,and it runs hot all the time. my avg readings are : cpu temp :53 MB temp: 32 +12 v :12.288 +5v: 4.477 +3.3v : 3.216 vcore :1.664 basically price isnt an issue, but it needs to be as quiet as possible, and im fed up with cream or beige colours for case, keyboad, drives ect i need the pc to be vista compatible.. im thinking 512mb graphics cdrw drive dvd duel layer dvd floppy dive with built in memory card reader ( for phone ad cam) 19 inch tft monitor ( or touchscrean??? ) 7:1 soundsystem water or dry ice cooling 600w + power supply 4 - 8 gb memory wifi and bluetooth pci card tv card ( prob freeview capible) case ( obviosuly) raptor 150gb hd ( for os and games) 500gb hd for storage 100mb lan card motherbord and processor undecided ( though will prob go for the newest amd ( sorry i like amd), though i could be persuaded to go to intel... a legit copy of xp ethernet colour or mono lazer printer scanner

Im sorry I did forgte to mention That I am using Realvnc, hope this helps, it would be useful to have it working as then I can leave my pc running and stuff, but stil have accsess to my documents and things Which router are you using....? In any case you should use port forwarding and setup 5900 to point to your internal ip address. Your computer must always have this IP or VNC will fail. P.S I think your currently using the wrong router settings and you should use UltraVNC, it's the best of the bunch. sorry to nag, but did you reed the 1st post, cos i put the router info and the copy of what ports are forwarded. I have a speedtouch 510 router, my desktop ( the only 1 ) has a static ip of 192.168.1.64, and if you look at the pic in the 1st post i have added the ports, and they are pouinting to the desktop ( in this case, the AMD3200) I have just had a look at ultravnc i will try tha when i get home and see.

Hey all I need some help with setting up VNC server. I have added the ports on my speedtouch 510 router I have confirmed that i am using the correct ports ( defults, 5800 + 5900 ) in vnc, i can locally connect but when i try and connect from the net, it always times out. any help would be brilliant

hey all, i had a ntfs partion, but wanted it back to fat32, so i converted it using partion magic, but all the file names changed. Ok wel the problem is i worted out all the file names, but i cant seem to be able to deleate a dir, xp comes up ad says that it is unavlible. i have tryed chkdsk and stuff, and used unloker, but it still cant be deleated , i have tested for viruses and spyware hope some one can help paul Title Edited - Please follow new posting rules from now on. --Zxian

Hello,, i got a free logictech webcam soom from ms from beta testing msn 7 but i have always had this constant problem. The webcam bit works fine, but the microphone does not. i have tryed all things from a format, to updating drivers to differant os and computer but still no luck. once i have installed the divers in device manager i get the fololowing error message This device is not configured correctly.
