    Oracle 9i

The Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) has built in support for noninteractive installs. To do an unattended install, you need to create or customize a response file and use it with the OUI. There are example response files in the RESPONSE folder on the Oracle Client installation CD. You need to configure stuff like the path of the installation source and the location of the Oracle home in the response file. setup.exe -RESPONSEFILE filename -SILENT -NOWELCOME OUI Documentation
  3. Bashrat, Please add support for the Dell Wireless LAN drivers. These are used in many Dell laptops. I've created my own driver pack for them and everything installs fine. These drivers support Dell Wireless 1350, 1370, 1450 series, and Dell TrueMobile 1300, 1400 series MiniPCI and PC Card devices Download link ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R94827.EXE
  4. Bashrat, please add drivers for the Dell Latitude D610 laptop. This is yet another Sigmatel driver. I got a portcls.sys error when using the latest sound driver packs. The problem went away when I made my own driver pack with the D610 driver from Dell. Download link: ftp://ftp.dell.com/audio/R90052.EXE
  5. Did you slipstream SP2 on XP with SP1 integrated already, or on XP gold? I had similar problems with USB peripherals when slipstreaming SP2 on an XP SP1 source. The problem went away when I switched to using XP gold as the base.
  6. Here are links to the Dell drivers that I used: Sound Max for the OptiPlex GX270. ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R58182.EXE Version v.5.12.01.3555, A09 Sound Max drivers for the OptiPlex GX280. ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R78477.EXE Version v.5.12.01.4060, A17 Sigmatel AC97 for Latitude D family laptops. ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/S5wua14i.exe Version v.5.10.0.3943, A14
  7. bart of borg: THANK YOU! I can confirm that adding the Dell drivers like you outlined got rid of the portcls.sys errors for me on an Optiplex GX270. I only added the path to winnt.sif, I didn't modify the dosnet.inf file.
  8. You can install updates to your base purchased version using the instvar.txt method as well. setupENU.exe /S /M=instvar.txt snagitup.exe /S /M=instvar.txt
