  1. I changed to Windows Classic folders and was still unable to fiew them. I am able to run net view /domain:workgroup and see the computers on that domain.
  2. yes, they are all on the same subnet. We are using Linksys RV042 routers, which have the ability to broadcast NetBIOS.
  3. Ok guys, this one has me stumped. Our company has a few offices spread out over different cities. We have 4 different workgroups, 1 for each office. We'll call the workgroups "A", "B", "C", "D". My office is workgroup "A". File and printer shareing is turned on, on all computers on all workgroups and all firewalls are off. All machines are XP Pro SP2. The problem I am having is this. I can see all of the computers on my workgroup, but I can't see any of the other workgroups. I can ping those computers both by IP and computer name. I just can't see them through Windows Explorer, the workgroup or the computer names. Any ideas?
  4. Thanks guys, I ended up gping with ccproxy. It was very easy to set up.
  5. Does anyone know of some freeware to turn a XP Pro box into a web proxy server for my office? Thanks,
  6. I have a Windows XP Pro computer with Simple file sharing enabled on a network. Up until about a month ago I could access the files on the shared drive on that computer. I have double checked on that computer and file sharing is enabled but when I try to access that (and all other) drives on that computer I get this "\\buggs\F is not accessable. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions" "Not enough server storage is available to process this command" There is over 100 GB still available on the drive. Does anyony have any idea what the problem might be?
  7. What version of WIndows XP are you using? The incremental backup in XP Pro will do what you are looking for. Acronis will work as well.
  8. If I want to use Windows Disk Management set up a RAID, what is the largest size it can handle? 2TB, 4TB? Also, if it is limited to (let's say) 2TB, can it handle multiple sets?
