My credentials are fine, I don't get the error if I run the batch file on its own, only when I run it from task scheduler. I didn't know if this went here or in the Win7 section (I guessed here). Here is my problem. I have some Robocopy batch files that I was running in a schedualed task on a Win XP machine. They ran fine on that machine. I am now tring to get them to run on a Win7 box. The batch files will run fine on their own, but when I try to run them from a schedualed task I get errors. I get this error - "ERROR 1326 (0x0000052E) Accessing Source Directory \\computer1\share\folder\ Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password" if I try to use UNC paths with this command robocopy "\\computer1\share\folder" "\\computer2\share\folder". If I try using a mapped drive I get this - ERROR 3 (0x00000003) Accessing Source Directory v:\folder\The system cannot find the path specified when usin this command robocopy "v:\folder" "\computer2\folder". I am on a Windows domain trying to copy files from a Linux box in another office. I had no problems running this on a XP machine but I can't get it to run on a Win7 machine.

Resize dynamic disk 's on a windows 2003 Server ?
todarsey replied to gicio's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
This is not a command method when using Windows Home Server, it is all GUI. And if you do a restore from the backup, you only have to decide how big you want the partition to be or use the whole HD and it will then be a Basic Disk. -
username.domainname Yes, test - it does not show as test.domainname Settings were saved for the "Test" account.
-
Sorry, "If you log off, wait 30 seconds, then log back on again, are the changes still lost? (Or only specifically after rebooting?)" - Yes, they are getting lost either way. "If you logon as a local user account, are the changes saved?" Yes, local account settings are saved. I have deleted all of the other user profiles that were getting created. Now I an noticing when I lod in with the domain login, the profile is there. When I log off and lig in locally, the domain profile is gone. It looks like the profile is being deleted. Also, I am doing everything with full admin rights.

I am not using a roaming profile and yes I do see a bunch of other profiles for the same user.

I am haveing some problems with my Win 7 RC 32 and 64 bit machine on a domain. I have the computer joined to the domain but when I have to reboot and login, nothing I had saved to the desktop is there any more. I can save something to the desktop, reboot and it is gone. It also is not remembering my IE settings either. Could this possibly be a RC issue and I need to download the enterprise versions (which I am downloading as I type this)?
-
I know that Microsoft has stopped the ability of downloading the Win 7 RC. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on the x64 version. I have the x86 but I am in need of the x64 version. You can email me at tdarsey(at)hsa.cc if you have any info.

Does anyone know if this video card supports OpenGL and quad-buffered stereo 3Don Windows 7 32bit? We have purchased the 3D vision kit. I see that the card is supposed to support OpenGL but I don't see anywhere to enable it in the control panel much less anything about quad-buffer stereo.

Just did this, didn't work.

I have also run iperf on my WHS VM and got 297Mbps. Would this still be a problem with the physical NIC? This NIC is an Integrated Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E.
-
I have just now run it. On the XP VM I get 28.8Mbps, on a physical machine I get 192Mbps.
-
Can you set up a Private virtual network and connect the XP guest to it instead of the External network, put static IPs on the host and the client and then see if the throughput is the same? On an internal network I get 100Mbps on the XP machines
-
No, all VMs are on a different hd. The VMs are on local drive E: and they are looking at drive F: to do the speed test. (I think this is answering the question)
-
Well, I have taken and created a brand new VM. I installed the OS then installed SP3, then installed Hyper-V client services and then all other windows updates. The fastest that machine will do is about 20Mbps. So, I'm still at a loss of what the problem is.

Resize dynamic disk 's on a windows 2003 Server ?
todarsey replied to gicio's topic in Windows 2000/2003/NT4
What I ended up doing was this. I backed up the server to Windows Home Server and I took a spare hd I had and restored to that on another computer. When the restore was complete, I took out the dynamic mirrored disks and installed the drive I just restored to. Worked like a charm and it is now a basic disk. -
Well, I have uninstalled Hyper-V Guest Components on all VMs and then reinstalled. The only one that had an increase in speed was the WHS VM. Could the issue be that the other VMs were once physical machines and I took an image of those and created the VMs? The WHS VM now gets a little over 100Mbps.
-
"apply Windows Server 2008 x64 SP2" - it already has SP2 on it. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall SP2 after I remove the hyper-v role? Will removing SP2 have any effect on my other installed roles? - AD, DNS, DHCP, File Server anf Hyper-V are all of the roles installed.
-
I think that Acronis True Image can do this. I know it has the ability to split a backup into different chunks for DVD's but not sure about doing it to external HD's.
-
"Do you have the Integration Services installed in the VM? (I am assuming yes, if you got the synthetic NIC to work.)" - yes "Did you install the Hyper-V RTM bits before adding the Hyper-V role? (KB950050)" - no "What about SMB transfer speeds from the VM to physical machines on the LAN, other than the host?" about the same to other physical machines. "Any reason you're not using SP3 on the XP VM?" Not really, just haven't installed it yet. I will try that. "Are there any other VMs on this host that you can use for testing, maybe with other versions of Windows?" - yes, 3 total. Using LAN Speed Test and a 10MB file copying to the same place on the server, one is another XP machine with SP3 with a transfer speed of 16.55Mbps. Another is a WHS machine with a ransfer speed of 31.40Mbps. The last one is Win XP SP2 with a transfer speed of 7.07Mbps. A test using a physical computer gets 81.13Mbps. "You could test setting TcpAckFrequency to 1 on the XP machine and rebooting: KB328890" Does this apply to server 08 as well? It only says for server 03. Do I do it on both server ans vm?
-
That didn't work either. I have disabled TCP checksum offloading and TCP Large Send Offload on both NIC's.
-
Nope, that didn't work.
-
I'll give it a shot.
