Well, i just did a fresh install of UT, and when i go to play it i get a General Protection Fault error. I have tried SAfe Mode and all of the different rendering engines avilable. I have not had any luck. Error: UT Log

Its an OEM CD. OEM CD's are tied to the origonal computer that they came with. To my knowlage, there is no way around this.

I got a 6X PC-DVD and i tried to install it. When it was installed, I got a bios message that said: "Device not ATPI Compatable. Press F1 to continue." How do i fix this? I have it set as secondary slave to my Optoright CDRW drive, which is the Secondary Master. What am i doing wrong?

not to sound rude or anything, but im no computer novice. I can tell the difference between a power cable and a IDE cable. But anyway, mabi it was the wrong cable. Im pretty sure i was plugging in the right cables.

Step1: I hooked up my scanner to my computer. Then i hooked my deskjet 610c to my scanner. Step2: I turn on my computer. It says "new hardware detected" so i had window look for drivers. it didn't find any. Step3: I wento to HP.com and got the XP drivers for my scanjet. Step4: I ran the file and it installed and asked me to put in my cd and restart. So i put in my cd. Step5: My Computer restared and it gave me the message telling me that the software didn't support nt. Step6: I did all of this over again exept i didn't put my cd in. It told me to put the cd in after the reboot.

I got a Creaative PC-DVD rom drive and cannot figure out how to install it. It is the 6X version. I pluged it into the ide cable as the slave and i pluged it into the pwersupply and it acted like it wasn't getting power, but when i unplug the IDE cable, it gets power and the light turns on, what is going on here? THe ide cable i pluged ut unto is also connected to the HDD and Floppy.

I got an HP ScanJet 3200C and then i downloaded the winXP drivers from HP since the CD didn't support NT. Well, after compleating the install, it says to leave the cd in the drive even though i never used the cd. So i put it in and restart the computer and it says: This software does not support NT. What am i doing wrong?

First suggestrion: Dump IE and get Firefox. Second: After you have run virus scans, adware scans, spyware scans, run a disk cleanup and scandisk.
