1. Hi, Thank you for the great trick By the way, is there a way to turn off by default "Secure mode" in DaemonTools 4.03HE ? Indeed, when i mount an iso, it ask me a confirmation because DT running in secure mode. I'm using the package from RogueSpear : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...hl=daemon+tools Ive used regshot to detect any changes in the registry, but it doesnt seem to be dealed in registry.
2. I'm having the same problem. I've followed this step : - nLite1.0RC7 - RyanVM Integrator (for french pack which isnt compatible with nLite) At the final reoot, when my batch try to use taskkill.exe, it doesnt work because Framedyn.dll is missing. I'm gonna try in this order : - RyanVM Integrator - nLite1.0RC7
3. Same error here. Fresh install, no nlite
4. All right Dud'. The only Way I found is to move all files in the Quick Launch bar folder to a temp folder and move them back to the Quick Launch bar folder. So, my icons are alphabetically ordered. Thanx for the tips' Kal
5. Thank you both for your help, i'm currently trying the winnt.sif method to see if it's just delete the Internet Explorer entry from Start Menu or from StarMenu & Quick Launch bar Your script is sweet sonic, it's better than the ping method I'm wondering where Windows store informations about icons order in the Quick Launch. Example: If we move all icons from Quick Launch bar folder to another folder and then reput them in the Quick Launch bar folder, so icons are alphabetically ordered. By the way, if we move (with mouse) an icon to change his position, how Windows knows his position at the next reboot? It's not very important, buyt i would like to know Anyway, problem solved : thanx guys! Regards, Kal
6. I make the app installation via RunOnceEx. I enable TaskBar and make global regtweaks (for HKCU/HKCR only) at T-12 via cmdlines.txt. But the fact is that I can't remove IE icon from Quick Launch bar before the first logon I don't know if it's possible, maybe if we define a custom NTUSER.DAT ? (i dunno how to do this). More over, i can't control the order of my icon in the quick launch bar (it isn't ordered alphabetically).
7. Hi ppl I would like to know how can I remove Internet Explorer icon from the Quick Launch bar. I've removed the Internet Explorer icon from the desktop by the following key (well I suppose nlite did it like this) : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer] "NoInternetIcon"=dword:00000001 Even if I run this command befor first logon via RunOnceEx : del "%userprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Démarrer Internet Explorer.lnk" icon isn't removed symply because it's added after the first logon. So, is there any registry key that make the trick or i have to forget about it and keep IE instead of Firefox ? Regards, Kal
8. What should i read on the first page ? There's only link to previous slipstreamer and a post where gnome says to report our "findings". That's what I did By the way, if this slipstreamer doesn't work with french version of WinXP, is it possible to get the entries to add to files ? (dosnet.inf , txtsetup.inf, sysoc.inf, svcpack.inf ...) Thanks Kal
9. Hi, I've tested this program with a fresh nLited XP CD, and it seems it doesn't work. I use the FRENCH version of XP and wmp. By the way, i remember that the BTS splistreamer worked on this version... Could you tell me what is the difference between BTS Slipstreamer and this slipstreamer ? /* I didn't remove WMP 9/6 from nLite ! */ Thank you
10. Well, I use your latest driver packs base and it seems to doesn't work. I have to reinstall the kb888111 to have sound working. Should i try to install it manually via RunOnceExe, but your driver packs slipstream that hotfix so i dunno why i should install it again ... Kal
11. All right, that's what i'm doind and i'm currently slipstreaming your driver pack with method 2 B) By the way, can i apply the nlite method after the slipstream or should I use it before the slipstream ? Or should I forget nLite and use my own winnt.sif / RegTweaks.reg ? EDIT: Sorry, i found the answer in the FAQ Thank you for your work BST
12. Thank you BST But I have to include all you drivers pack or only the chipset driver pack ? If I want the SATA drivers, Audio Drivers, Lan drivers which it's include in nForce drivers, i have to slipstream all the drivers pack ? Kal
13. Hi ppl, I would like to make my own unattended CD and integrate a lote of drivers. As you know, nvidia place at our disposal different nForce drivers pack : nForce 4 AMD / nForce 4 Intel / nForce 1,2,3 I wish to integrate all these drivers. Is it possible ? nForce 3 Mainboard will choose the correct audio/Lan/SATA drivers or there's a chance of mistake (choosing the drivers from nForce 4 drivers pack) ? And vice-versa ? Thank you for your help Kal
14. Thanx for this program guy! This is the french version of shrink.ini (see attachment) Kal shrink.ini
15. Ok, the problem was due to my audio chipset realtek acl850. It's totally incompatible with XP SP2 if your mainboard is a Asus K8N! In fact, there's two possibilities: - Use asus drivers, which is an old version of realtek drivers. Explorer.exe crash during the boot. - Use last realtek drivers : no sound! It says something like the connection is broken. So i must use my old creative sb live! Kal
16. Well, i'm now totally sure it's these realtek drivers! In fact, i've tested my cd on an other computer. During this time, i've remade my cd with new drivers which does'nt integer program soundman.exe. The test has been succefully passed So i'm sur that it's a quesiton of driver, and especially sound driver. Other computer was nforce 2 chipset and the computer which cd fails is nforce 3 (asus k8n-e deluxe with a realtek chipset audio instead nforce audio). P.S: Excuse my english, i'm french :
17. I believe i found the problem! Well, i still have to test, but i'm 90% sur that its' the realtek drivers of my audio card. If i delete "soundman.exe" from [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run], it won't launch it at the next reboot and it works! Have to test on my new cd I keep you in information
18. Ok, my cd was working fine during vmware testing so i've burned it and installed it on my computer... First boot = Same problem! explorer.exe doesn't respond, have to kill him and reload him I think i'm going to let drop SP2 ....
19. Hi and thanks for your answer! In fact, i didn't post in the nlite forums because i've tested an unatteded install without nlite and problem was still there ! I've tested with/without my apps, with/without drivers and probleme persist. At the moment, my cd is ok since i install vmware or daemon tools manually :| I've added windows media 10, and explorer.exe doesn't crashe at the first boot if i install wm10 @ T-12 but crash if i install it by RunOnceEx. Very strange problem, isn't it ? EDIT: yes, i'm using tweaks in nlite. I will test without it as soon as possible.
20. Nobody able to help me ?
21. Hi cheers I have a problem since i'm doing my unattended windows xp with sp2 slipstreamed. I'm using nlite and and i rip a lot of things. I'm integrating drivers and apps. But, when install is done and during the first boot, i have explorer.exe who doesn't answer. I have to kill him and reload him manually. Screenshot here : http://kalhfr.free.fr/boot.jpg At the begining, it was happening only when i installed silently daemon tools & power dvd5 during installation. So i've parsed this files and problem was solved. In fact, not totally Let me make 3/5 reboots, using msn and install little programs such as diskeeper (not enough space on my cd for it) and the problem is come back. I'm becoming crazy, it make 3 nights that i'm trying to solve it ! Hope you'll be able to help me Kal
22. Hi ppl, IN my winnt.sif file, i've added these lines: [Components] AutoUpdate=off msmsgs=off msnexplr=off zonegames=off Mplay=off Normally, Windows Media 8 shouldnt be installed, but its still there How can i remove it from my unattended install ? Best regards, Kal
23. no, before cmdlines.txt is executed, i must log on ... That's why i want to use svcpack !
24. Is it possible to execute a .reg during windows install, by help of svcpack ? It will allow me to auto logon directly ! Regards, Kal
25. ok thx a lot guy! Another question : I put a password in my Unattended install of Windows, but i want an AutoLogon, is it possible ? I can autologon only if the password is blank Regards, Kal
