  1. SunnyB, when there are people in the US that can do the work and it's sent elsewhere, it makes sense for the government to charge import duties to make it harder to buy from elsewhere. It's another thing entirely when there is no company in a country that makes what you want to buy and you have to pay twice what you can buy it for in the US.
  2. Check the size of the download. If it shows 0 bytes, it's already been downloaded.
  3. @Blyster, Movie Maker 2.1 is already included in SP2, so I won't even bother with MM2. I was just saying that I had tested SP2 and it could be added to the known-to-work list.
  4. In case anyone was thinking about it, I have actually slipstreamed Windows XP SP2 RC1 into my Windows XP Professional CD. All that I used for the first test was the Service Pack. The disk that I burned is 612MB. GM, I believe you can add that to the list, if you want to. My next test will be to add the dotnet framework and a few other things.
  5. Try doing it without SP1 or any of the updates. I think most of them are in SP2, so you shouldn't need them.
  6. I'm having a similar problem, but I get as far as the installion starting before it complains about not being able to find the CD-ROM. I'm doing my testing in Virtual PC and have even tried setting the CD/DVD as slave on the primary controller.
