  1. how would i go about integrating a mac onto a windows 2003 server via active directory? one of the projects my boss gave, that i know like nothing about. i found out what it is, and hat it does, but not how to do it does anybody know of a third party software that would allow me to do this with little difficulty?
  2. iv'e heard about it but never looked it up yet
  3. true, so true,... unless there's something wrong, then it complains constantly, but if everythig's okay, it's the easiest by far my mac is like 15 years old! lookup the powerbook 145, 1992 it's hilarious, because omeone gave it to me, who hadn't ever used it since then, and i got it and boot it up, and it works just like it did some odd 15 yrs ago. it's a pain to work with though
  4. use nlite as you come to the unattended settings, hit the desktop themes tab hit add select the directory your theme is installed, i'm not sure, but when you download the theme, you may have to save it instead of run it, then just add that, instead of a whole directory
  5. i got a mac for my birthday yesterday, it's a macintosh powerbook 145 from 1992!!! it's pretty funny, but it works! it's got microsoft word and a calculator on it! it's like 4 inches tall by 14 inches wide and 11 inches long, boy it makes me appreciate modern technology! i always had a guy telling me i should switch to mac, so i got that for free, and showed it to him... He just laughed! for now, i'll stick with pc!
  6. this is messed up, winzip just extracts the same setup file, i told it extract it to the desktop, not a good idea, but that way i know it's there, but when i extract, it just extracts that setup file to the desktop, and i'll try to extract that, and it does the same thing, this computer is rather old, but i just downloaded the free trial of the new winzip 11, but it just does the same thing over and over again! i need a new computer!!! does anyone recommend kicking it? i had a friend that had a pc that wouldn't boot, so he set it on the floor and kicked it, and guess what, it boot perfectly!!! apparently, the pin switches in the hdd were out of alignment, so when he kicked it it lined them up against the side, and made the perfect connection, now he has a sore foot, (he kicked it really hard) and a working pc wonder if it works on laptops with audio problems?
  7. out of curiosity, what theme are you using in your screenshot? it looks like windowblinds, ares, but i never got it to work right
  8. look up http://offlinedownloader.com it will download whole websites, but it may take some time depending on how many links there are
  9. ok, i just thought that was really wierd, it saying it's on the desktop, when it's not, and also having the complete setup .exe for both disks complete without error, i installed all of microsoft office 2000 without any problem, or the disks, i just don't know how it got there, and why it's hidden
  10. i might have accidently downloaded the wrong one, i think i downloaded the update for it, not the microsoft bus driver thanks, im downloading the right one right now, to try i extracted it, but it just gave me another setup exe, do i extract thst too? it had all the setup files, but no language options, i'm gonna try to extract the other setup now i tried to extract it, but it just brought up the setup loading bar, and quit real fast, like a second then quit winrar and wizip and from the cmd lines couldn't do it
  11. just out of curiosity, why's my msfn original avatar based on a mac theme? i got it off the msfn original avatars, and i just noticed, it has the old mac pc theme window that the guitar is pasted in why is anything resembling a mac on a microsoft forum network, built in too ! course i don't mind, i like macs, it's just out of curiosity
  12. right click my computer, hit manage, click on the device manager tab on the left side, it tells you what hardware is installed and the names for them, any devices with a yellow question mark on it is an unknown device, or if it gives a names next to it, than there's no drivers installed for it
  13. i tried with winzip and cmd, both gave the same answer, that's for a hp, will it work for a fujitsu? or is it a normal hotfix that hp just has available for download?
  14. it won't let me extract it -------------------------------------------------- x usage: <module.exe> <ini_file>-silent-noreboot-resume ini file is either full path or just name if in same dir as EXE. -silent will suppress alll gui prompts -noreboot will suppress reboots -resume will force a resume of the ini file processing
  15. i downloaded it to run on my computer, but when i run it, blinks real fast and says cpqsm.exe needs to close, let me check, i forgot to extract it and try the english only... it won't let me extract it, it only tries to run it,
  16. i integrated the whole thing the first time, does it need to be extracted, or just the single setup? cause it didn't work, thanks, i'll try that and see if it works
  17. i reformatted a fujitsu e4010 notebook and went to install all the drivers, but the auio driver needs a microsoft bus driver to be loaded to system before installing to audio driver i can't find the bus driver anywhere! can someone help me bypass this problem? i need audio in order to run a video editing program
  18. try formatting it by a UBCD4win disk, or if you don';t want to download one, try formatting your hdd by an external hdd you can boot off of then just install xp pro without formatting it on setup, (leave no changes, instead of format with quick, or format) you can look it up here http://ubcd4win.com
  19. yesterday i shredded and wiped a hdd, formatted it with an oem xp disk, and installed xp on it, when i booted up, it looked just like all the others, nothing was on it, not even the drivers yet, (stilll having problem with audio, (ms bus driver needs to be installed)) i was looking around in my cmd lines, and on the desktop, it said that the ms office setup.exe was there, i looked at the desktop,... nothing! i looked back and restarted the cmd, and it still read that it was there on the desktop! i told it to extract, and i somehow was able to reinstall office 2000 on it without the disk, and it wasn't even on the desktop where it was read! does anyone know how it could possibly have gotten there without being shown?
