NetFramework asking for disk.
Chris Lee replied to Chris Lee's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
%CDROM%\Applications\NetFramework\netfx.msi /qn does not work. It doesn't install at all. -
how would I be able to silent install Kapersky antivirus and register it? i searched and saw the other post, it was too confusing. I managed to find it's extracted files in the temp folder, and the setup.iss there too, however, how do I install it without a restart after using setup.iss? Thanks
-
Alright..so how would I load it into the ram? (if that's what you're saying)
-
The thing is, everything else loads up fine. I could make an ISO with cdimage -lXPCD -t08/23/2001,13:00:00 -h -n -m -o -bc:\Install\VOL1.DAT c:\Install c:\XP.ISO I don't know how to do others because I tried. The winbom error is annoying, I've used bootsect.bin as the boot sector, linked from diskemu.cmd, and I have bootsect.bin edited as ERD1 instead of i386... I can boot up to ERD successfully if I ignore the error, but can't help feeling there's an error

I put all my software onto my CD, and I am installing from cd with the %cdrom% comment, and this installer loads, and at the end of the status box of Netframework, it asks me to "Please insert the disk: Microsoft . Net framework 1.1" How can I stop it from asking? pressing OK does not make it go away
-
I don't think so, the only way is to taskkill it and that gets very tricky so I just didn't put it in.
-
Alright.. cdimage -lXPCD -t08/23/2001,13:00:00 -h -j1 -b -o -mc:\AIOCDRoot\LOADER.bin c:\AIOCDRoot c:\XPAIO.ISO pause Does not work for me, it says it cannot find boot sector file.

Chris Lee replied to Crispy's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Hmm, can you please try browsing through it, I would really like to know if it put everything there, because I don't really think that should be like that. -

55MB Unattended Photoshop CS Install

This installer works ok for me, except for one thing. Can you please remove your licensing information? As I need to be able to input my business' serial number. Thank you. -
Hmm, can you post the command you used in CDImage? I use WinISO, but I dont burn to DVDs, I only do it with CDS, so large files is kinda weird...
-
I dont really use any other than the normal network adaptors..what do I do? Do I have to add any files or change any pathes? I'm using VMWare, could this be the problem?

Windows Automated Installer (WAI)
Chris Lee replied to CuBie's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Is this development stopped? Please fix the installers simultaneously installing. this is a really good program, but can be improved and fixed. -
Thank you for telling me, but can you please state whatever you did? Like all the steps you went through, I do not believe WINISO was the problem, because the CDimage.exe was used to "neutrify" the files... I still get the error

Windows Automated Installer (WAI)
Chris Lee replied to CuBie's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I was wondering if you could add a "Select all", "Deselect" And Maybe make more custom setups, like change the colour of it, and change it so it shows up in the taskbar. Add to the title? Please make more customizations, that'd be appreciated. -

I don't know about no IE6, but I know that in Europe, they are being sued for "monopolism" for building WMP into it. I Think also Real is suing them for that. IMO, it's not really wrong for MS to install WMP, otherwise people will think that XP is incomplete, and maybe they don't know where to install a media player. It's just there if you want to use it, if not, get another media player. I doubt that edition even came out, I don't even know the results(if any). And even if it's out, I doubt you'd be able to get it legally, probably of the licensing.

Of course you cannot visit windows update via something else than IE But even if you still remove Internet Explorer, Explorer.exe will still act as a Internet browser, and yes, the exploits will still be there, so you need IE to patch it up because Only Internet Explorer can access Windows Update.

Maybe it's because the server is too busy to upload your contact list? I know it's most likely not the same server as the help..but you should try later.
-
Alright thanks, I will try that.

REG Keys for WinRAR file Associations?

I did use settings.reg, nothing happened..it was checked (formats menu) and everything looked right, but no association. -
REG Keys for WinRAR file Associations?
Chris Lee replied to Chris Lee's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I want to be able to choose my associations, I do not want all of them associated, as I have some programs that take care of some of them. I do install Winrar with /s switch.
