  1. Nice build, my dad uses an Antec Sonata II, they are a nice series of cases. Obviously not very cost concious. Overall, nice build, but if you are trying to save some cash, I would just buy two sets of OCZ ram for around $100, it is highly overclockable and has looks nice link to product: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820227139 Buy two sets of those and you have increadble preformance. Trust me, I have them, and they are incredible!
  2. Thank you so much, I appreciate it.
  3. hi you are never coming back r u?

  4. Happy Birthday Ripken204! Finally 18! Cheers to one of the greatest posters of all time!
  5. The site at the bottom is the site where someone might have posted the first picture of the 9800GTX. I can't tell if it is or not, but it looks like it. What do you guys think? Site: http://branev.blogspot.com/ P.S. the article is towards the bottom of the page.
  6. Does anyone know good maps for C&C Red Alert 2 and where I can download them? ANY commens are GREATLY appreciated.
  7. I am upgrading an Abit IB9 motherboard with a Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 to a Core 2 Quad Q6600. I upgraded the BIOS from version 11 to version 13 as the most recent BIOS for this motherboard. Win XP Pro SP2 refuses to boot unless the CPU multiplier is reduced to 8 and only intermittenly. I cannot run a repair installation because the repair hangs because it states that NTkernalos.exe (or something like that) is not readable. I downgraded the BIOS back to the original version 11 and the system boots although it reports the CPU frequency 600 Mhz. And the system crashes unpredictibly. Any ideas what is going on and what I should do? ANY help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
  8. Maybe it will bring not as many buggy things, like Vista before its first Service Pack. I tried installing Vista on my "older" computer, It didn't even install a quater of the way. I hope Bill Gates has a good idea of Windows 7 as his last OS as lead Designer. It better be good, that is all I can say.
  9. Hi, Happy Black Friday all. Anyway I bought a brown 30 GB Microsoft Zune for myself at Fry's electronics for $97! Now, I don't know if you know what Fry's is but I LOVE it. Anyway, Is it all that great? Any reply is greatly appreciated.
  10. Torque is used to accelerate dude . EDIT: Check out this link. Wow, thanks for the information! I think my decision has been made. Thank you and all of the people that posted. I really appreciate it!
  11. Hey all, I have FINALLY decided what Video card I am going to get (if you haven't seen the earlier posts then click on my profile) a Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTS 320 MB. I just need the best Mfg. for the price. I heard BFG is factory overclocked and has a great trade in policy? AND a lifetime warrenty? (I don't know-just what a few of my friends were telling me.) Is that a good brand for the price? Or is EVGA or MSI/XFX a better brand? Any reply is greatly appreciated. 12. Hi, I am building a new computer and I am looking for a video card made by BFG(Nvidia) that can run Direct X 10/ Flight simulator X on medium to high settings with no problems. Oh and for a really good price as well. Somewhere in the $100 range. I heard 8600GT is good? Yes? No? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. P.S. It CANNOT be SLI.
  13. I hate that piece of software. Even if the anti-virus portion may be effective, the interface is hell and the popups never-ending. As long as I have a SAFE computer I don't care about the interface. Yeah, it may look ugly but when you buy a great looking internet security program that has NO features, don't come crying to me when you have 1,000 viruses on your computer. All because of your stylish internet security. Yeah I guess panda sucks, if you're an id***.
  14. hehe.......dont joke. HEHE You don't joke. NOD32 is nothing compared to Panda Internet Security 2007 Platinum.
  15. ACPI is enabled!!!!! someone please respond ASAP!!!
  16. Remember my first post? Well, I need to change something about it, ACPI is not in my Device mgr. So, since XP doesn't recognize it I was wondering if I do a repair install it might? Rapid response strongly recommended. P.S. my motherboard supports ACPI.
  17. Thanks, I was getting a little worried. Now I am aware.
  18. Panda Internet Security 2007 platinum all the way. Parental controls, Daily automatic updates, TOP-OF-THE-LINE security. This software is 10X better than NOD32, Norton, or any other "popular" software. I would highly recommend this to anyone who does extensive web surfing, and/or frequent software installs. I personally would get this, if you don't-do not come crying to me when you have a virus on your system. Especially when your out of date virus program doesn't update automatically. I'll just be sitting back, relaxing, and knowing that my computer is protected from a virus that hasn't even been created yet.
  19. Hi, I am going to upgrade my RAM module from 1 GB of ram (PC 2100 I think) To a module that my dad got me that is 2 gigs. One problem, My "old" motherboard (VIA K7VTA3 V.6.0b) states that it is compatable only with PC 2100 and PC 1600. The RAM I have is PC 3200. I know this is a stupid question, but is there any chance that PC 3200 will work on my "old" motherboard? Quick reply recommended please!Motherboard site.
  20. True, thanks. Does anyone else have any suggestions?
  21. There is absloutely no way you can convert standard 16 bit programs into 64 bit programs. It is not as simple as that.
  22. Hi, I recently tried to upgrade XP Pro to Windows Vista X86 (32 bit) business edition. I clicked on the Install Now button and it said please wait. After entering the Key, a error message stated that ACPI not found.. The XP Device Mgr shows ACPI enabled and working. ACPI is enabled in the Bios as well. I have heard that the HAL may not have ACPI enabled. The MB has the latest Bios that I can find. I also saw somewhere to try to do a "clean" install without the Install Key but don't activate. Then do the upgrade install over the unactivated Vista. I am wondering if this will keep my installed applications in the Registry? . I do not know what to do. Please help, I am just a teenager.
