  1. You are comparing simple stuffs with complicated. Editing Windows is not easy. Here is example why you should not run nLite in only one season.

Example: You are removing 3 components in 2 seasons. You just selected two and nLite removed it. Now you run nLite again and you remove third component. Now, this third component removed something which is necessary for other stuffs. And this happened because nLite can't predict all combination which user may choose. Maybe if those components were combined together in one season nLite would not remove some necessary file because now it can know that removing can cause the problem when that combination is selected.

Maybe this is not very good example, but you should figure what's the point.

    Cheers ;)

  2. I could find price for few models from this list, but it ways much more expensive then ASUS. Only GIGABYTE motherboard that supports DDR2 ad DDR3 is GA-EP45C-UD3R and I could not find the price for it. It seems that I'll have to stick with model I found.

    Cheers ;)

  3. OK, thanks for explanation. BTW, what do you think about this motherboard. It fits for my budget and I think it's good, but I would like to hear your opinion. And, it should be compatible with other components I already have, right?

    Cheers ;)

  4. Yes, I left the value to 235 but reduced multiplier to 10. Temperatures are fine. But I would like to know why is this happening, what is that limits it to 235? I'm asking because I sow on some other forum that guy can't pass above 220. He also have same motherboard. So there is something that creates limit here, and I wold like to know what?

    Cheers ;)

  5. Hi,

I'm trying to overclock my RAM, and I need some help here. You can see my configuration in my signature. To overclock the RAM, and to keep my stock CPU speed, I figured that I can increase core speed and reduce multiplier. This works fine until some point. My stock core speed is 200. I managed to put it to 235 and to reduce multiplier to 10. I got some improvements with my RAM speed. I tested with Everest. But I want to improve it more and here is the problem. In my BIOS it says that range of core is from 100 to 450, but I can't put it higher then 235. If I put it higher my computer wont start. It just freezes on BIOS screen. Only thing that I can do then is hard reset and then BIOS will report overclocking failure. Now, can somebody tell me why is this happening and can it be solved somehow? Thanks.

    Cheers ;)

  6. The other problem sounds like the msi self heal function kicking in as it finds file(s) missing and the temp installer is not there to fix it. I don't know why this is happening as I can't replicate the problem. Do you use the English version or your native language?, just wondering if it could be lang related.

I had the same problem. This problem appears when you install WLM9 over older version (without uninstalling old version). In my case I was installing over 8.5 and on other computer over 8.1 version. So to avoid this issue, uninstall first older version and the install the latest.

  7. Thanks for so much info. Yes, manifest file is only file that can not be deleted, I was wrong when I said two.

    Cheers ;)

EDIT: I managed to reduce installation size from 250 MB to 200 MB, and installer size from 42MB to 37 MB (Lite, not checked yet micro). Thanks again. If you have some more useful info for me, please share it.

EDIT 2: Micro will be down to 22MB and installation will take 100MB. Nice. I'll give you credits in my installer for the help.

  8. A lot of the stuff in the SMC folder is unnecessary, especially for the Micro version. You can probably save ~12MB there.

Do you know the purpose of NeBDGraphic.ax and NeBDThumbnail.ax ? I don't have a BluRay drive so I can't test it. Nero Recode installs them as well.

I also don't have BluRay, so I can't test it. I'll check SMC folder. You did not answer me. Do you mean on NScCoreComponents folder?

    Cheers ;)

  9. There's lots of pruning you can do with this yet. Even the Micro edition installs 12Mb worth of DrWeb virus defs. Does anyone using Micro need the nero Digital codecs and shell extension? (Nero Digital is what neroPatentActivation is for) NTSCoreComponents are only for Nero Scout, which I doubt anyone wants.

Thanks for the info. I also think that DrWeb files are useless. I'll probably remove it. And you mean on NScCoreComponents? Well, folder can not be removed, but all files, except two can be deleted inside the folder. But, I need to check if something will break when the files are deleted.

    Cheers ;)

  10. Hey benners,

I just tested your tool on Vista x64 Ultimate and sadly it does not work. When I pressed start, nothing happened (ini is present ad processed) and after that I cant close program, it's like it stuck in some loop, or you blocked window with some flags. Here is the log:

    WLMC.rar

If you need some testings to fix this, I'll do it gladly, just PM me. I can help with the code if necessary.

    Cheers ;)
