  3. If you use Royale, change to Large Fonts and then back to Regular Fonts It fixes that for me

  5. 909993 and 902344 keep appearing ... they are installed during factory mode WMP10 and WMFDIST95 are installed via CMDLINES.TXT at once... what did i do wrong here?
  6. hello folks i downloaded a hotfix pack from somewhere and i am installing 175 hotfixes total the problem is that once it reaches 140 hotfixes, the installers hang, i think it was caused by that 150 catalog limit so i am here looking for a way to go around this i can slipstream the hotfixes to the I386 folder but one of my machines in the network restore a ghost image and does not do the unattended install method. so what can i do here? and i don't want to recreate unattended setup config for that machine that uses ghost images...
  7. omg lolz how do i do the unattended install of dotnetfx can i still do the administrative install point method, cause i want it to be slipstreamable easily in the future in the world hax
  8. I have a compaq netelligent card, and i use win2k3 server. i pulled drivers off the XP CD but it is not digitally signed. how do I get this to install and stay installed? after finishing with sysprep factory mode (app install) it goes back to being uninstalled. i put drivingsigningpolicy=ignore in both unattend.txt and sysprep.inf to no avail. (i do not use sysprep -pnp, it's a waste of time to reinstall all that hardware) help!
  9. I never had to call Dell for anything so I donno
  10. If you are using the RyanVM hotfix pack (or any hotfix pack for that matter), it's SUPPOSED to slow down. It installs way too many hotfixes, resulting in 150+ catalog files being installed. XP SP2 has problems once it has more than 150 catalog files. It takes 15 minutes just to install one hotfix.
  11. I try to install 904555 and it says I need 891122.
  12. /quiet /norestart /overwriteoem /nobackup I use these switches. I will hunt for a pack that is unaffected by this.
  13. It says Windows Media Player 10 System Restore is turned off. If you continue setup you won´t be able to use Syste Restore to restore the version of Windows Media Player, that was included in the Windows OS that your computer is running. It´s recommended that you click cancel, turn on System Restore, and upgrade to WMP 10. For more info about System REsotre, see Help and Support. Do you want to continue? OK, Cancel
  14. Hi. This brings up System Restore message? How do I kill? Or how to make system think 891122 installed already? Bye.

  21. How do I force XP to use a certain wireless network? There are two networks, default and NETGEAR. I want it to connect to 'default'
  22. How would I change winbom.ini files on every reboot? I got 3 different files installing 3 different sets of files. Would inserting a command to the RunOnce area and have the batch file rename files be OK?
  23. I wanna do what IBM does ... it somehow, after XP setup finishes, it goes into factory mode RIGHT away. I prefer doing this to save time. Any ideas? Factory mode is a part of the sysprep function ... it loads a network-enabled Admin account and you can install any apps you want. At the end you reseal and you start OOBE, OEM-style
