I will however be making 500 cash off this product. One of my younger brother's friends is going off to college and made me the offer. LoL. Guess I'll be getting the better end of the deal! Though if I don't sell and do decide to keep it about how much do notebook dvd+-rw drives run? And would it be worth it to upgrade that way?

Is it possible to resize an image without so much quality loss? If so, pleas explain how to do so. I've got a few little images like 127x93 and I'd like to enlarge them and maintain or still come out with a viewable picture. Thanks!

PT880 Neo (V2.0) MS - 7043 with integrated sound. I have a soundcard that was just delivered to me so I am going to install that tonight and check the outcome. I do have the latest version or CoreCenter and it was working fine. I didn't mess with any BIOS settings other than the boot sequence (that's all I ever mess with). Just out of the blue went crazy.

My sound goes out after computing awhile. Its not the speakers because if I restart the sound returns. Any ideas on what it could be? I have a MSI mobo and I use the CoreCenter utility that MSI provides with it. This little program shows the temps, clockspeed, voltages, fan rpms and other settings. My problem with this is just recently it started popping up with an alarm sounding and the CPU Fan RPM reading flashing. I can't lower it...it has been 3125 or higher when the alarm sounds. If nothing is done (closing that app, all I can do) the computer restarts. Is there anything I can do about this? -PUnitBabyDaddy- Just thought I would add this as I just found out myself, dealing with the sound issue, audio files play fine but when playing video the audio is real low and sort of echoed! It wasn't like this before. Please HELP!

I want to make dvds with menus and episode select screens. I have .avi files of anime. I have seen some people have dvds with the same translated eps that I have with 6 or eps on a disc and that's what I want to do. I have made a few already with WinDVD but the subtitles are too low/long on main dvd players. Works fine in a ps2 and xbox. I'd like to know of a program (preferably a do it all so its only 1) that will help me. Thanks!

Patroclus thanks you for the help. We did find that it was a psu issue and have swapped for a good one. I have a question though, the psu had only about 6 months of use prior to this event so is it like a fuse or something that can be repaired or is he better off buying a new one?

If I were to use the default BIOS settings for memory the Windows installation will not even start. In or order to these particular sticks to work with that computer I needed to change one setting. When I get home I'll reply with which setting that was. These sticks have loaded the WinXP OS that was one the computer before I formatted so they can run in that system. I don't understand how the installation could all that different. I appreciate the replies and I hope I can get this figured out for my dad. I'll check back when I get home.

Ok I tested the RAM in another computer and both sticks worked. I put the old stick back in and it worked fine during installation.

Is it possible to make a UA upgrade for Windows like from Home to Pro or however you want to go?

I had a RAM problem fixed it with a BIOS setting change but now I can't get Windows to install. I've tried my retail copies of Home and Pro (XP) and four other UA's and with no luck. I've tried both drives for reading the discs. Some discs go further than others and its not always the same each time either. After the format during the copying of installation files some don't copy then I press enter to retry and it goes on about its business or won't copy and need to be restarted. I got all the way to the 24 minute point in the setup (using Nemesis 3.0 UA) and then I got an error. The error said one of the components that Windows needs to run was not installed. That happened three times. Please help me with this! Thanks!

I'm generally pretty good with computer hardware/software issues but I ran into something that has me stuck...the problem is my dad purchased a set of two 512mb PC3200 DDR 400mhz memory sticks, which I know work...I've tested them in my PC but when placed into his the computer will boot up go throught the BIOS and then display goes blank. Now I know his mobo will support up to 2gb of RAM and he had 512 in there...but it was PC2100...I thought that the PC#### had to with the CPU speed and would only allow the RAM to process as fast as the fastest stick in the system. Basically I don't know what's going on. I swapped his sticks for two of my 512's (PC3200/400) and for some reason it'll show the windows boot screen and then go blank when the logon should be seen. I'm trying to format the computer and when I get it to boot from disc it gives me an error 5### depening on the windows disc I use. I've tried regular XP Home and Pro and also a UA discs, all with the same results. If I put in his old stick it works normally... Sorry if I wasn't clear or forget something...please help. Thanks! (Edit)Motherboard is a cheapo ECS brand, looked in the manual says it'll support the RAM type(400mhz) even DDR2. Hope this helps out a little more.

I recently installed XP Pro on a computer I build for my brother and I used his mobo disc which installed an audio driver. The sound was working...until he went and installed Realtek AC'97 Audio and now the sound doesn't work! I think if I uninstalled one or the other it would work. When in Add/Remove programs as I try to uninstall either one I get BSOD 'Bad_Pool_Caller' What can I do other than reformat?

how do i disable shadowing and caching in the bios? I get BSOD a lot even during installation. i've tried many different windows discs all have the same files not copying the first time through and i've tried different hd's and optical drives. please help!
