Office 2000/XP/2003/2007 Slipstreamer - version 1.6.2
ykchanaed replied to mara-'s topic in Microsoft Office
Correct me if I am wrong. When installing Office 2007, SP and hotfixes (extracted) are put in \UPDATES folder MU and WU shows Office is up to date. Then there is no need to recreate setup.exe! I think it only applies to older office version, isn't it? -
Office 2000/XP/2003/2007 Slipstreamer - version 1.6.2
ykchanaed replied to mara-'s topic in Microsoft Office
After slipstreaming 2007 Enterprize with SP1 and 8 Hotfixes: In Re-create SETUP.exe, the folder FILES\SETUP was not created and hence the original setup.exe was not moved and was gone. I had to create the folder before hand. Then the original setup.exe was moved. But then I double click the newly created SETUP.EXE, It had no responce. log file attached log.7z -
Office 2007, Unattended Setup & Fine-tuning

I think you should delete the exclamation mark in your xml file. It would be like this: <Configuration Product="ProPlus"> <Setting Id="Setup_Reboot" Value="NEVER" /> </Configuration> -

ykchanaed replied to Lqdwax's topic in Application Installs
I used this in my RunOnceEx.cmd: REG ADD %KEY%\045 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Applications\Utilities\PDFCreator\PDFCreator-0_9_5_setup.exe /silent /components=\"!toolbar\" /tasks=\"!desktop_icon\"" /f -
[Release] Spybot - Search & Destroy v1.6.0.30
ykchanaed replied to johndoe74's topic in Application Add-Ons
when using the switchless installlers, either full or customized, in unattended Windows setup the following problem came up: ============================= Error C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts The existing file is marked as read-only. ============================= The source has been slipstreamed by HFSLIP. The problem existed in both nLited and non-nLited source. Is it a problem in the source XP CD -
What is the silent switch for the SPTD installer? It only told me "add". How to disable the confirmation prompt? Thanks in advance!
-
For those who need Asian languages, the switch for CHT is: /Lang=Chinese_trad BTW thanks for the pack!

The repacked cab seemed not working in my setting. XP SP2, IE7 , WMP11, HFSLIP 1.7.2rc3 The files were in the correct folder of the resulting os. But IE7 seemed not registered this addon. When I visited the Adobe flash website, the flash player was not working

I have Office 2007. I am now testing with Office 2003. I have another HFSLIP folder to work with Office 2007.
-
Oh ! I think I have figured out the problem. It is the IE security setting for ActiveX control. When I change the setting of "Allow previously unused ActiveX..." from Disable to Enable before running Office Update, the Office Update would not stop to ask me to run ActiveX in the Information Bar.
-
both OGACheckControl.dll and opuc.dll are present in system32 before running Office Update. OGACheckControl version 1.6.21.0 6 Mar 2007 opuc.dll version 12.0.5543.1000 It has no problem with Windows Update after removing the MUI PAck installer in \HFSVCPACK. But in Office Update , it still need download Office Genuine Validation ActiveX Control on first run!
-
Are these three OGAControl.cab the same, or they are different with different update sites? OPUC.cab in Windows XP SP2 updates list for use with HFSLIP showed Office Update engine (2007-10-22). Is that different from above OPUC4.CAB (22-Nov-2007)?
-
Another problem is the OGAControl. With or without the MUI pack installer , IE still need download Office Genuine Advantage ActiveX when running Office Update. OK! It is Office Update. In fact the OGACheckControl.dll is already in the system32 folder.
-
I tried to remove the MUI pack installer from the HFSVCPACK. Now the WinodwsUpdateAgent worked. The Windows did not need downloading on first update. Because of that , now I put the WinodwsUpdateAgent in the RunOnceEx module.
-
I tested again. I have checked the WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe and LegitCheckControl.cab in the HF and HFCABS. WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe 's Digital Signature is 31 July 2007. It is the one downloaded from the link in post#4. LegitCheckControl.cab. 's digital signature is 12 October, 2007. The resulted windows still needed download Windows Update on first update. I tried to run the same WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe after windows has been setup. Then it had no problem. It did not need downloading Windows Update. I suspect some installlers in HFSVCPACK might have replaced the WIndows Update Agent. Probably the MUI_CHT.exe !
-
I am using 1.7.0. No problem with language detection. Huuh... Does it relate to MUI package I installed in SVCPACK? HFSLIP.log.7z
-
on repeated testing, using the links in Windows XP SP2 updates for use with HFSLIP site, the resulting windows still needed downloading ActiveX on initial update. Is there a newer version for the windows update agent and the ActiveX? By the way the MuAuth.cab has one drawback, it also made the Windows Update link in the Start Menu to the Microsoft Update. And slipstreaming it with HFSLIP, the resulting windows even needed downloading Windows Update and the ActiveX on initial update!

i just share my experience. Download Adobe Customization Wizard 8 and run it to make a .mst file. When it is done , it will also change the setup.ini file. Then simply run the "setup.exe /spb /rs", it will install 8.1 without user interaction.
-
I think it was the XPize, since in CHT version, without XPize but with Winnt.sif ,that did not have problem. I will try now! ***** without XPize, 933566 is OKay. thanks
-
when not using tcpip.sy_ in FIX folder, 917953 disappeared in WU, but ie7 935566 still keeps in WU. hfslip.log atttached. HFSLIP_log.7z
-
This problem also applies to me! On top of that WU keeps telling 917953 is missing. I used HFSLIP 1.5 to integrate IE7 and WMP11 in CHT version, with much less addons. This did not happened. But when I did the same in ENU version, with all sorts of SFC_OS.DL_, TCPIP.SY_, in FIX folder, 933566 and 917953 still appeared in WU. I have tried the text 70222a, it was the same. In fact, I leaved the cat file alone in hfslip.cmd prompt.
-
Oh, my god! The problem was in my source! I did try different CHT sources, including SP1 & SP2. They failed! I tried another one. A SP2 CHT source. It worked now! Sorry for the trouble I made. I have to correct my sentence again. HFSLIP is great!!!!! Thanks again.
