Got my new p4 3.0 w/HT and was wondering before do a new install of XP is there any special items that helps improve performance? I read something about settings a pagefile on a different partition to get better performance. Let's hear from the experts!

Anyone know if the p4's will be dropping in price anytime in the next few days? I just ordered the ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe and looking at grabbing the P4 3.0c as it seems to overclock better but it's at a steady $222. Well I can't say it's better than IBF but I can say version 2 looks to be a big winner.

I would have to disagree. I've been using IBF for years, many many years and recently upgraded eMax forums to vB and I can say I really like it. It's fast if used right and has many features. The only thing I can say s vB has so many features the admin panel can be very confusing for a newbie.

Well I have done everything above. Checked every settings and made sure they were manual/started. The printer is a HP OfficeJet 5500 series. I'm at the end of my ropes on this.

My printer is checked to share. When trying to add a printer her PC sees mine but when it ask for the name for the printer I enter the exact name I named the shared printer and it gives me an error. I have tried to use the auto detect and that doesn't work.

Ok. I ran the wizard on my main PC naming it OFFICE then rebooted. I ran the wizard on Michele PC and while it's trying to config the new network it gives me a: Spooler SubApp error. The wizard finishes but it doesn't do anything. I'm unable to add a printer, see a printer. Any clues?

Thanks guys for the direction I need to head. ran the wizard and just need to restart my main PC (Downloading at the moment). Once restart Ill run the wizard on Michele PC and see how it goes.

Yes, that's right XPerties needs help with XP systems. Ok here it is. I have one PC running XP upstairs and 2 PCs downstairs. One PC (My main PC) has a Printer connected to it. I need to know if there is a way Michele (Jerseygirl) can print from her PC to the printer downstairs. They are all connected to a linksys router. Thanks in advance.
