  1. I have read that with a Royalty OEM key a Windows XP operating system may be installed without being bothered to activate. Having a Royalty OEM key, I have tried using a Windows XP Professional Royalty OEM key (using VMWare) on installations of Windows XP Professional (OEM) with both Windows XP Professional Generic OEM Microsoft Product Code and Windows XP Professional Royalty OEM Microsoft Product Code. For both tests Windows prompted for activation. How can OEM Windows XP Professional be installed with a Royality OEM key and not have the burden of (re)activation.
  2. Great I had lost the location of the TechNet search page. Thanks. Also, it seems that "Show only bulletins that contain updates that have not been replaced by a more recent update." ("CHECK") does not fuction correctly. Some updates are displayed that are flaged with "The update for the selected product has been replaced by the update in the following bulletin(s):" ("REPLACED") when CHECK is checked. If CHECK is checked, would the results less items marked REPLACED, represent all the correct updates?

    Hotfix order

When slipstreaming, is order of hotfix integration important? When applying hotfixes to an existing Windows instance, is order of hotfix application important?
  8. Yes, asuming instalation with OEM keys accepted.EDIT: Actually the correct answer should be no; reinstallation would not occur, however installation may.
