2. Like the title states, svchost.exe, username "NETWORK SERVICE" maxes out the cpu usage constantly and makes it impossible to do anything with the computer while it hangs for minutes at a time... Any ideas?
3. I have legit windows xp pro. I would like to download sp3 and integrate it into the XP CD as well as the key (will this leave the key on the CD?)(Only question about keys) I downloaded the sp3 update through WUD, but it seems that it will not run? It gives me the error " "WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe" is not a valid win32 application " The name is "WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe" and it's 149,871 KB. I downloaded it through x86 service pack 3 update list. I would like to only add things that are not hardware specific, such as video card, sound card, etc, but rather: Firefox with addons Soulseek (frostwire/limewire alternative) A trial of nod32 anti virus Spybot S&D
4. http://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sp2errorlj1.png I integrated SP2 into the windows cd with nlite for the first time, guess I did it wrong. Any ideas how to fix this for next format?
5. Eh, I downloaded all of them and included them with the windows CD, but windows updates still shows all the updates (it still says I need to download them all) Please help
6. Unpack them? I really need a step by step way to do this :\
7. If you choose to integrate them in nLite or use HFSLIP, either way you're gonna have to manually download them one by one. Yep, there are about 120 post SP2 Hotfixes altogether. Try it - install your SP2 CD and visit Windows Update... it is shocking I have to say... with SP1, SP2 and the 120 hotfixes it must be getting to more than 400 Hotfixes by now. Its normally around this time they make an SP3... its well overdue. The relieving thing is - nLite is incredible in that your CD won't really grow at all even after including 117 Hotfixes. Do you think it would be ok to download all the updates on the windows updates downloader list and add those to the CD?
8. So I have to filter through all of the ones on the WUD list? And just to be sure, you know that I am trying to download all the updates after sp2?
9.
I'm in the channel currently, theres only 1 other person in there.
Well I'm in there as much as I can, I've already got help and helped another user so this is definitely a great idea so please come on it
10. I'm trying to include 5 or so addons with firefox 2 but I'm not quite sure how to do it... Any suggestions?
11. I don't see why people request when all you can make the cab's yourself...
12. Xfire has a weird method of updating...it seems your client will download the updates, and then install them when xfire is ready (or when the programmers tell it to)
13. Ok I figured out why, it seems that the cabmaker I have, virtual tek, creates a cab for every file in the folder, so I had to make a new folder and move the single install file into it.
14. Ok, I can't seem to figure it out on my own...which updates do I download (with WUD) after I have sp2 slipstreamed into the XP cd with nLite? Please reply and I will update anything regarding my problem, I really need to get this to work, thank you! Edit: I have windows XP Pro english, x86

IRC Channel

Well I have to say that if I have a question I can just ask in the IRC channel and save a bunch of time, saving me from having to register, even though I already have... I found several channels on free node that I like because the original channel is hosted on there. I am for the move as many good channels are on freenode. As for cluttering up anything, an IRC channel will help clean up the forum. Think about it, if someone is a noob and has a simple question, it's better to ask in the IRC channel without having to register, saving the person time and letting the forum stay cleaner.
16.
but isn't better chose another network? imho something like Freenode could be better mrmr
How so?
17. When I used the SONY recovery from my dad's pc, and then took the hard drive out and put it in my computer, I had to do that...
18. I was googling and I found this post, we need to bring back the IRC Channel! I'll be idling there every chance I get so come on down! If you don't want to get an IRC program, just google chatzilla, it's an extension for firefox. Edit: it's been 2 years, I know, but instead of creating a new topic, I decided to reply in the existing one... Here is the URL if you have an IRC client installed:
irc://irc.darkmyst.org/nLite
Just copy and paste that into an existing IRC channel, then click it
19. I'm having trouble creating the cab files, some of them are 500mb
20. You don't know the half of it You should see the blinds from the outside of the house I just recently acquired the cold cathode light tubes though, they were free as a mail in rebate kinda thing, but instead of paying to ship everything, they just figured to sell them for one cent, pretty crazy if you ask me but I got 3 and one is in my dads pc, and the second tube from that pack is behind his LCD in his desk...
21. I need peer guardian 2, ATI xp drivers (display only)
22. Hehe, guess I shouldn't direct link to the image http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4222737
23. Hello, I got into nLite because I format quite often, and my current question is how to make my own .cab's from the .exe's, mainly my ATI display drivers and sound card drivers... Any help is greatly appreciated Or how do I find the switch??
