The program will only create an exe not a cab file. You can use the settings to create a total silent install then I think you can use nlite to add it to the RunOnceEx section?, not really sure, or you could create an addon. There is a link here to a program that may be effective in creating the addon for you.

Yes bud I am still here. I haven't done anything since the last release. There haven't been any problems reported and no requests so I haven't needed to. I can't test on 64bit systems as I only have the hardware on the main rig and can't reload just to tinker. Thanks for the testing and maybe I will have to fix some Vista bug

No probs, thanks. Just noticed I missed announcing build 8

Hi Grokster Thanks for the feedback. The program processes the cache.ini file found in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files \Windows Live\.cache" or the users language equivalent path. The ini file contains a list of files and directories where the installers are located. There is a check for the installers existence and if not found any further actions are skipped. If the file is found multiple times only the latest version is added to the list. If the version has been updated there should be multiple versions. I don't know how the old files have been deleted, and this would not normally be a problem unless as in your case one of the required msi's is missing. If one of the required msi's is missing the process stops. What this doesn't account for is if there is a another version of the msi in a different folder location, maybe this needs changing so it only error after all the ini entries have been checked, Hope this makes sense. The program works with the latest WLM version, and I have tested it myself, what I cannot understand is how these files have been deleted, have you manually deleted them or did they get removed during an uninstall?. There is no problem creating the folder structure and copying the installer to it as only one instance will be added to the list, but obviously users should not need to do this.

ooooops, it's me, i have entered my id (10 characters decimal) and not my email, i retest it after.... you can enlarge little the location (two location) in .cache folder i have trad 50% in french ..... it's continued..... No Probs. If you could post or PM your lng file after translation I can adjust any text that does not fit. I translated (Google) random strings to into the main languages French, German, Italian etc to test the layout but not all were done in each language. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. As long as MS don't change the properties, the program should work for future versions of WLM. Awesome m8 there is also a new version of A Patch which is compatable with the new version of WLM but im assuming this is already included since it worked but i did it with a pre patched version. Stoner81. The latest patch is included. To see the current patch version look on the about tab. The blue text is also a link to the A-Patch web page. There is an option to uninstall Windows Live Messenger in the Add\Remove programs. Hi picelec Thanks for reporting this. I didn't think anybody was using the translation file. The label problem has been sorted, I'll add it to the next build. Are all the other labels and controls displaying the full\correct text?. Regarding the passport, there was a small problem calculating the IS number but I thought that I had sorted it. I have tried it here with 2 different emails and both give the correct number. Are you using the latest build?. If you would like you can PM me with the email and the ID that it should be and I will check what the problem is. Thanks

Hi Xeijin, thanks for the feedback. I did some testing a while back and on a fresh VM image I only needed the messenger and contacts to successfully sign in. I did not use any of the other features like video call etc so I don't know if there would have been any errors or if thats what the extra files were needed for. I used the guide by elajua to ensure compatibility and it mentions those msi's as needed so I left it like that. If you have no problems using WLM that's great and maybe the program can be changed to create smaller SFX's by reducing the required msi's.

It could be. I have only tested this on 32bit Windows ( I can't really support 64bit). I tried to use Virtualbox to create a 64bit VM on the 32bit system, I think it is supposed to be allowed, but when the setup process finishes loading all the drivers my machine always reboots, so I ditched that. I use reg.exe to export the reg file as it is quicker, but this could be changed, and I am not sure whether reg.exe works on 64bit. As for the buttons, again I am unsure, it could be the 64bit. Does the red cross at the top of the GUI not close the program?. Can anybody else confirm that this prog is useless on 64bit? Glad it's sorted. I have added a file check on the msi's as they are added to the list. If the missing MSI is a required one the process will stop. If it is an optional one then the list will load, the missing MSI will not be added and an error will be logged.

What can i do about this? Does the files exist?. If not I will have to add a check for the files before loading the list.

No probs. The program needs people with non English setups to test it. Thanks

Thanks BigRandalo, it's sorted now. I know about 7zip, I normally wait a week or so to see if there are any probs with the latest version. I have added it to this release. First post update with build 5.

Cheers M8. Yep, AutoIt. Looks like we are both branching out, I have seen your Nero Lite Our progs must work well judging by the number of views\d/l and the number of replies the threads get.

I don't know if you are using v0.6 but this is the latest release.

I've installed it and used it without Silverlight and haven't had any problems. Is there some were saying it is needed. As far as I know Silverlight is MS answer to Flash and it's for programming web apps\browser plugins for animation and such. The full version download has the Silverlight exe in it, it is not added as only msi's are added to the list. If it is needed I can add exe's as well and Silverlight can use the /q switch but you would need the 134MB d/l of the WLM

Thanks for the feed back, we've already fixed one bug

Yep not a problem, Just missing some quotes which bolloxed 7-zip if there were spaces in the filename. I have sorted that and I'll post the build later, currently looking at adding the option of adding DPs and emoticons to SFX. Ah ha! cool m8 thanks for the quick reply! will make it again with no spaces in the file name and then just rename it after making it. Thanks a million buddy! Stoner81. PS - Cant wait for the next one!!! I've uploaded the version with the fix for your problem. The DP stuff is still in progress.

Hi Stoner If it happens again can you post the log file. After the .exe is created a check is done to see if it exists and if not the error occurs. If it is a bug, it need fixing. Cheers

I am glad it worked for you. I am still working on this and there have been a lot of things added., but there doesn't seem much interest in it so I am not really rushing.

Great work benners! I love the idea for the next update, those things would make a huge difference! Thanks Gorki. it should make it easier for people to customise it. @SlipStreamer I don't use nlite but is there not a section for runonce that exes can be added to?. You only need to add the filename, no switches are required.
