OK i got another networking hub it's a duel-speed 8 prt hub the model number is SOHO-DH8P, and my q is witch would be faster a NetGear 5-Port Fast Ethernet Switch (FS605) or a duel-speed 8 prt hub the model number is SOHO-DH8P. thank for reading.

Hey i built my pc just over a year now and laltly my hdd has been making strange clicking noise and the pc will freeze up for about 5 secs and sometimes you are forced to reset and after reset it has corrupt files, luckerly i am able to replace these files pretty easyerly. the hdd hasent made these noises for the last 2 weeks or so and hasent clicked for a while, what do you think was rong with it or is it damadged? Is this common in seagate harddrives? p.s is there any freeware hard drive moniter tools that could help me. and i saw this on a tv show, it's where theres a picture of the hdd and it shows where the reading arm is, is there any such thing and if there is where can i get it from?

OK i know this must sound stupid.. but please hear me out! How does the school have the login setup so all the account are on the one server and the other pc's connect to it through the network to log the user on? yeah the good old days of net send, the admin still hasent dissabled it yet... any way i found out that each grade have different groups... yr 8: s*** all access the anything on the network. or internet yr 9 : have little access to the network. or internet yr 10: have an extra 50 mbs of storage plus less sites are blocked. yr 11: have acees to almost all network files except admin and teacher files. yr 12: they have the closest thing to a normal user account so if there was anyway to change my account type through the main server, please tell me.

Thank you for your helo this has made my network fly it is faster then ever!, but it still isent as fast as the school network, how can i make it as fast as that? the schools network is so fast that when you open a network folder it's as if it's on the local pc.

Every one at school has there own name that is on the main server, when my friend is logged into his name firefox portable works but when i'm logged into my username firefox just can't connect, why? ps. my friend is in yr 11 and i am in yr 9, would this have anything to do with it?

Why is it when you install Sp2 on a windows xp pro pc, when it boots up it removes the professional from the bootup?

ok so you take this code and put it in notpad: net user sherman password /add /expires:never net localgroup "Administrators" /add sherman you can edit the name sherman to the name of the account you want and also where it says password change it to your desired password for the account. save it as a batch file, open it and there you go. hope this helps!
