2k advanced server, without a doubt

The Line is the same exact line, no change, nothing to install. The modem wire has exact same number of wires as the telephone. It may be different in the US, I dunno, I never had DSL in the states, only Uni's T3, and cable modem. Big Booger I thought the X2 crap was full of it, just never tried it.

I have the same problem as you with Direct Connect. I download the program, install it, configure it, click on the public tab, the words sending request appear, and then nothing. I used to be able to do it on ME with no problems, but when I upgraded to XP it stopped it from working, I even tried passive mode, because I am using a router with a firewall, and tried it without the router just straight connection. THIS MUST BE THE INTERNET EXPLORER CONFIGURATION ERROR THEN, because the machines see each other. DOUBLE, triple check the LAN SETTINGS YOU USED IN THE 95 MACHINE. Make sure you configured it with the IP ADDRESS OF YOUR HOST (XP machines) secondary NIC, the one not connected to your ADSL MODEM. SECOND MAKE SURE THE PORT SETTING IS CORRECT. 6588 I think is what is should be. ----OR---- A the machines see each other bidirectionally, B. Something is screwy with the configuration of your IE. C. You need to upgrade the 95 machine to 98 or greater. -------But let me make sure of a few things------- A. What IP PROXY address did you use in the WINDOWS 95 Machines Internet Explorer? B. What was the port setting? C. Did you uncheck the AUTOMATIC SETTINGS in IE (windows 95) under the tools, options connections LAN tab? D. Are you using A CROSSOVER CABLE? THis is very imporant as I have stated before, if you are trying to use Proxy server, with a regular CAT5 or PAtch cable, it will never work!!!! MAKE SURE ITS A CROSSOVER CABLE. E. Are you running windows XP with the PROXY server program running? F. DId you shut off XP's built in firewall? If not tell me and I will direct you how. G. Did you enable connection sharing in XP? it has its values. I really like edonkey, though I think its time for an update. It is great for finding files that you really need, and it seems there are less phonies flying around on Edonkey than on Kazaa or morpheus, I hate those phony f***ers, they really p*** me off. I downloaded a 150 MB file on morpheus, thought I was getting MOHAA, instead collin McRae whores***, its w*****fied. Got the file on Edonkey, works well! two discs 300 MB+ schweet. I hear the new X2 modems or whatever they call can reach the full potential, but it seems funny to me, that you can have a 56K dialup modem on the same telephone line as a DSL modem, and the 56K modem cant even reach its potential, but the DSL smokes. I know I know, the DSL uses a different part of the line, but still, its rediculous. Big Booger

They have a few Geforce3's in a box marked discount, but I am scared as hell to buy s*** like that again. I got burned by the Hong Kong Manufacturer HIS graphic force, thought I was getting a schweet deal, turned out, they were giving me the rough stuff up the bum. Oh well, learned a lesson. Apparently the creators decided NOT to include blood in the game to ensure it got a teen rating (though how any war / killing game gets a teen rating is beyond me) Nether the less, people out there in the big wide world have haX0red around and are releasing a modified pak6.pk3 file which rectifies this issue and returns the 3D shooter to its typical tomato ketchup episodic. Whilst I am not at liberty to distribute files such as this, the specifications are Pak6.pk3 - 10,849 bytes. Does exactly what it says on the tin. I am downloading MOHAA now from morpheus for testing purposes, and thought I'd like to add blood to the storyline. Make it more cinematic. You should too!
