  1. I agree wholeheartedly with XPerties, he seems to be a whiz for words. If you are a nutt-case who is constantly peeking over you shoulder to see if the Bill Gates Pirate Squad [b:839ae6c3f1](BGPS)[/b:839ae6c3f1] is after you, then I'd say get a legit copy from the store to help relieve some of your anxiety.

If however, you don't care being a theif of intellectual property, as thousands of folks are, then by all means use it to your hearts content.

  2. I never had problems with restore either, other than the fact that sometimes my restore points would disappear, but I think that is because I would dump them when doing a disk cleanup, so maybe I am the best magician in the world. I fooled myself!

But I must say this, I never had a problem with ME, it ran fine, but was a resource HOG. In fact, one of my friend's PC would not run windows 98. We popped in ME, and voila, it worked like a hooker on overtime.

But I must admit, after using XP, and never being forced to restart because of low system resources I am much relieved.

  3. Without a doubt, this has to be one of the most comprehensive PC auditors I have used, and I highly recommend it.

Minus the monitor. So, if you want to upgrade, I'd say sell your current system, or use it as a backup and go with a new one as I did. It's cheap as hell, you get the best bang for your buck, and you leave yourself open for future upgrades! Your PC, if you can't afford a brand new system, should be able to upgrade to a smoking unit for under 400 Bucks. You could go cheaper, but then 1 year down the road, its time to buy new again. DOnt GO CHEAP, get genuine parts, genuine QUALITY

WHAT I WOULD DO IF YOU DONT GO BRAND NEW

  4. UNI, I just downloaded RTCW last night. I have been kinda off the FPS/RPG kick, but as of late, I think I am back on.

To the rest of you MOHAA players what server are you guys hopping on? Is there an MSFN server for that game? If so, addy please!

If not what server. Last night I played until 3 am and had to be at work at 7am so thanks for making me loose sleep.

  5. Medal of Honor: ALLIED ASSAULT

    FPS/roleplay/strategy (my opinion)

screenshot of Omaha beach scene (reminds me of saving private ryan)

It wasnt a direct link, it was a picture/image I posted of a screenshot, if need be I will upload it to my site and link, but I hardly call that an active link.[/color:afd3618f2d]

To be quite honest this game rox and the blood patch is nice too. If you do get it, I will assure you its worth it. The solo game is excellent. The beach scene makes you feel like you hit the Beach at Normandy, or are reliving "Saving Private Ryan" It's one of the most challenging, fun, and intense games I have played in a while. The last game that I can recall playing that gave me this feeling was wolfenstein 3D, when if first came out. In fact I still have that game on my moms computer. Still never found all the secrets.

    Anyway,

Back to MOHAA, let me tell you, the online play is just as exciting, though some of these guys must have cheats on or something, because one second your in the game, the next you have your sites on a nazi, and then bam the frag the s*** out of you. It truly is one of this year's best games. I haven't played RTCW ywt, but I when I do you can bet your ballz I will put up my two cents in this section.

MAtrix, download it, run it, patch it, etc.... It's worth it. One other thing, the sound effects on this game are phenomenal. they have the ricochet down pat. The music suits the game, and the door creaking scares the hell out of you on line, cause you never know if its a friend or foe behind the door.

  6. When I go to patch the game to version 1.1, it gives me an error saying it cannot find MOHAA. I think it might have something to do with this crack I applied LOL. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

  7. have you tried the multiplayer out? Is there any other way to play it besides that stupid arcade crap that costs 20 bucks? I would like to play an online slaughterfest. Any suggestions?

    Big Booger

again thanks for all your help and responses.

  8. I will keep that in mind the next time I go to download some appz. I don't mind using nocd patches, they tend to work well! I just thought if it mounted the image as a drive, that it wouldn't ask you for the Cd, but yeah thanks alot for the info. What is your take on the Class and Myth rips of games? Worth downloading? I have about 3 games downloaded from Myth and two from class. My take is basically they are good for those with limited bandwidth. It takes hella long to unpack too.

In case any of yoots others want the daemon tools,

    here's the link:

    Enjoy,

    and thanks again,

  9. Thanks €L1T€ for the suggestion. I shall head on over to the game patch capital of the internet, and download daemon tools. SOunds like what I need! So, my question is this then, if it mounts your ISO, BIN etc... as a drive, then does that mean you don't need the CD? as in the no cd cracks etc...? Forgive my ignorance on this topic, I should really do my homework.

  10. My PC never shoots up past 2-5% even when running multiple apps like morpheus, edonkey, MSn messenger, NAV, norton firewall, etc....

Very interesting. I think I am going to stay in classic mode for a while. Maybe the XP "skin" is a CPU eater.... Who knows. I like the classic mode just as well. This is very interesting. I should think however, that a pentium 4 or AMD XP, MP, Athlon based PC should be fine even with intensive graphics thrown at them. Who knows.
