is there a reg tweak to automatically set my wireless linksys to infratructure.

pls do a seach next time it has been asked and discussed b4. it will *copy* those files to c:\program files not install i.e. winzip or eudora which does not need an installer. it will create the directory and *copy* the folder and files under that folder to c:\program files\eudora\*.*

prathapml so i must replace the ntoskrnel.exe and logonui.exe (plus converting them to cab files) then i hv to also replace the ones in the sp2.cab file. what else do i need to do. I am not asking people to hold my hand. I just don't know for sure. I dont want another episod of the looping death syndrome. you mentioned sp2.cab do i also replace the logonui.ex_ as well? regarding another topic bliss.jp_ is there also another cab file i need to edit for this file? or can i simply change my bliss.jp_ with my own.jpg and rename it to bliss.jp_ and then place into my i386 folder.

Thank you guys... for the responce. i am looking for the unattended method. i understand krismark your method... But will it work for unattended install. ie, do i just replace the existing ntoskrnel.exe and logonui.exe in my i386 folder? I did so before and my unattended went into a loop shutting down and booting.

ok before the mods here tell me to do a search about this topic i did do a search. came up blank. here is my question, the bootup screen i created that work w/ sp1 no longer works with sp2. I would like to ask the group a step by step method on how to create a bootup screen that works for sp2. I hv tried downloading several boot screens from themesxp.org and none of them will work for my unattended xp. when i test it on VM it just goes on a loop, it keeps shutting down and starting up again. how do you silently install GetRight 5.1? how do you install the registration key? I hv read that you can use /s to install Getright. but how do you install the registration key? is it similar to nero? or do i need to use a regkey? thanks

old man what are the programs that you want installed? as for the wallpaper it is very simple. just grab your own wallpaper, rename it to bliss.jpg then go to command window. enter this command -> makecab bliss.jpg you will end up with bliss.jp_ move this file to your I386 installer folder.

i think the easiest way of them all is to use "makecab" prathapml the method u mentioned is over complicated. the method i am describing is very simple i just simply replace the bliss.jg_ with my own, just renaming my own background.jpg to bliss.jpg and replacing it in I386 thanks for the help

sorry about the post. not too sure if the old method would work on service pack 2. made a mistake with the logonui.exe and it crapped out my system. bec. the old method does not work for sp2. well i will give it a go.

can i just change my bliss.jp_??? without an error occuring? i hv my own picture that i want as my background i hv windows xp service pack2 for my unattended installer.
