ripken204 Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 how can i set opera as the default browser? im looking in default programs and opera just isnt listed there.
Xenomorph Posted June 21, 2007 Posted June 21, 2007 doesnt Opera have something in it to make it check to see if it is the default browser?with Firefox, all i did was have it check, and then i clicked the button to make it the default.i never messed with Vista's built in default program selector.
erpdude8 Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 you must do it from the Opera browser itself, not from Vista's default programs feature. From the Opera browser, click on Tools, select Preferences, click on the Advanced tab and click on Programs.Check the box that says "Check if Opera is default browser on Startup"click OK to save changes
ripken204 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Posted June 22, 2007 that doesnt work, it doesnt work with FF either. check google and you can see hundreds of threads that state that.try making an html file and see what it opens with..
