I have a single server 2003, Its C: partition is only 10 gig can I move the 2 gig pagefile to the other partition with out effecting the system to free up 2 gigs ?

Thanks

Should be able to, no problem. Be aware that the second partition must remain the same "mounted" id eg D: as when you "moved" it every time Windows is started. If not, dunno... maybe no start.

You can definitely move pagefile.sys (or rather - create a new one on the second partition and get rid of the first one). IIRC, on NT4, if you moved the pagefile to a partition other than the system partition, you lost the ability to create crashdump files in the event of a BSOD. Not sure if this is still the case with W2K3.
