Maka84 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) Everything works pefectly except for games, i can't get any of them to work. Ive attached my last_session.ini, could you please take a look and tell me which of those components that i have removed are required for games?LAST_SESSION.INI Edited June 4, 2007 by Maka84
bobjr777 Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 One thing you may want to check for is in the hardware section you might want to keep the support for your hardware. you have removed everything and that is probably what is making it not work.
azfarhusain Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) you can see my settings. tried some games on it, work great.I only added ryanupdatepack, winrar, KelsRuntimes http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=98967EDIT:removed: Disk CleanupZip FoldersBeep DriverSecondary LogonTCP/IP NetBIOS Helperbut not tested but it should work imo. Maka84 Posted June 5, 2007 Author Posted June 5, 2007 I wasn't missing any components afterall, i just made another nlited cd where i even removed more stuff and everything is working flawlessly, including games. I'm guessing it could be some of the services.msc / Reg settings that were applied after install, so i'll use caution when i configure those again.
ElTorqiro Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Just briefly, I'll second the bit about hardware and drivers etc. I've found in testing game compatibility, some of the more exotic copy protection schemes will fail to install (and thus you can't play your game) unless you have some seemingly completely unrelated stuff still available in Windows. Starforce is a good example. Personally I've found it easier to only go crazy stripping stuff out of an nLite build when I know precisely what apps I will be running on the PC afterwards. This is specifically for things like a HTPC build or in-car build, where I know what apps will be running and in precisely what hardware environment. Not to say don't experiment, that's the beauty of nLite, after all!
