willpantin
XtremeMaC,Huge favour to ask you:Could you please tell me what your "sfc_os.dll" file does? Despite its hacks, whatever they are, does Windows XP detect it as an Official, Microsoft signed copy? Thanks!
Thanatos
Probably not, someone posted a modded sfc_os.dl_ which could be placed in \i386 and as long as it was an unattended install, setup would use it, but log it as an unsigned file
XtremeMaC
it works just fine no problem with ittweak manager linkI had followed that guide so the sfc_os.dl_ file is the file that's been changed using the link provided
willpantin
Thanks, XtremeMaC...!Very good link you gave me, answered all my questions...This should take care of an annoying File Protection Window I get, even after properly applying the patched UXTHEME.DLL

I hate it!! has anyone found a way to remove these? thankslol I'm not sure exactly waht you are asking but on my installs I have completely removed access to ie and have mozilla set as the default. it's quite a nice setup. and as soon as thunderbird and fiebird are ready for primetime I will use those instead. In my case there simply is no hint of ie anyplace. It is ther but wiht no buttons to click and with mozilla as the default it really does not matter.
