Substituting files in vista

I had good success in substituting files in Vista prior to installing UA. I replaced Notepad.exe with my favorite text editor no problems.

Basically mount your wim as mentioned in this forum go to the Mount folder drill down to windows/system 32 & simply replace the original file with your renamed editor to Notepad.exe no cabbing or anything required. Then remount the image.

You can also do the same with some updates as well recently documented in this forum.
