hons Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Hi,I have a HP P4 3.2 2GB Memory PC. The MB is under ASUS OEM. I want to know if anyone know how to break the lock of the BIOS because now I cannot change the CPU speed, Ram speed, Timming......etc.I want to dp some OC stuff. Could some of our friends help??? Thanks!!!
ripken204 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 (edited) afaik there is no way to use the BIOS to overclock unless someone created a BIOS meant for overclocking. you could try using a program like clockgen to overclock your comp... it may also not work but its worth a try. what is the exact model of ur mobo? LiquidSage Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 Most probably you have a ASUS PTGD1-LA Goldfish mobo. Northbridge cooks at stock speeds and the cooling on this mobo is dismal. I find the board to be a bit unstable as it is..... trying to OC with it is pretty pointless unless your doing it to amuse yourself. Plop down $60- your $ limit and replace the mobo (don't forget your cooling too... ) if you are looking to OC.If you have this board....you have Intel on-board video. Look for a vid card / mobo combo and you'll see a world of improvement.
ripken204 Posted May 6, 2007 Posted May 6, 2007 you will prolly need a new psu too... the ones they but in these oem comps are just enough for them to get by.
