HP Software printer

I'm trying to install this software for HP Photosmart 2608 AIO PSC

i've tried but not able to install this. Can someone tell me which components need to be kept to successfully install this software?

i suspect WIA/Scanner and printer drivers. can someone confirm?

Since it is also a scanner WIA is a must. Start reading descriptions.

okay ill try this out and get back in a day

ok added back WIA, HP drivers, Scanner drivers, Fax and Scan service. still no luck. here is the new preset.

what could be wrong?

Could be that the full Vista has the same issue?

its working fine on full vista. and on the vista where i had removed only the language pack --- 1.67 gb iso.

the error is

Error 1404. Module c:\windows\system32\msmxml4.dll failed to register.

it doesnt give error for 1404 but there is some issue with registering of something here as far as i can make out from error 1402 and 1406 given on the website.

i suspect one of these components might be the culprit
