vegettoxp Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 Hey Guys, I just wanted to get your guys opinion on if I should bother wasting money on the Creative X-Fi Sound Card. I am building a new system and I am looking into other sound cards, expecially the upcoming Asus's Sound Card. I have a Audigy 2 ZS right now (Running on Vista) and creative has done a horrible job on the drivers and from what I have been ready, there drivers for the X-Fi Sound Card are not good either. So if you guys can comment on this topic, It would be really helpful. If you guys have any other sound cards that I should look into, please share them with me. I use sound cards for Games/Music/DVD/ and Mix Music.THX! P.S. Fusion
ripken204 Posted April 25, 2007 Posted April 25, 2007 well drivers is always the problem. im still looking at that auzentech x-meridian but again there are some driver problems, some people have some bad lag with it too.. if you want it primarily for games, then get the xfi, if u want it primarily for music/video, then get something along the lines of an x-meridian. are u the one that just got the z5500? if so then digital would be nice, which the xmeridian has. but i would go ahead and do some research on that card first.
vegettoxp Posted April 25, 2007 Author Posted April 25, 2007 Yes ripken204, I am the person who just bought the Logitech z5500 speakers. I just wanted to have a good sound card. I guess I can wait to see if creative is going to put out a new Vista Ready Sound card before the year is over.
