when installing Windows XP Professional, im seeming to always get the same errors. Here is one:

PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Techincal Information:

*** Stop: 0x0000004E (0x0000008F, 0x00022FD3, 0x00022DD3, 0x000000000)

its a emachine, but the bios is so locked down that it can't do the right timings in the bios, so is there a like board to flash the bios?

Probably a RAM malfunction. This is because your RAM is overclocked too much, overheating or incompatible with the motherboard (or processor, if it's an Athlon 64).

I gotten that before when defragging, because of my RAM overclock when I was overclocking some PC2100 DDR SDRAM.

If you're overclocking the RAM, increasing the VDIMM may solve the problem.

I upgrade the stock RAM (DDR 400) to OCZ (DDR 400), I thought it was the RAM but there is no RAM settings in the BIOS. Its been locked down due to that its an eMachine. I think it isn't get the required voltage to work. I replaced the OCZ with the default system RAM, and its fine now.
