xpphil
I have a XP oem SP1a I bought years ago and want to slipstream SP2 with nlite. I then figure on autopatching from there with recommended hotfixes. Is that a plan, or do I need to apply hotfixes to the SP1a along with SP2? My computer which will have the XPsp1a has limited and little internet use and is only an office workstation also it only has DUN access for patches so I figure I can download patches from my home computer which has DSL access. Thanks
Jeremy
No, because SP2 contains everything between no service pack and SP2. Slipstreaming it into your source with nLite and making yourself a bootable ISO and then using AutoPatcher is certainly a good plan.
TheFlash428
As long as you're slipstreaming SP2 with NLite, you could always go one step further as well and integrate RyanVM's Post SP2 Update Pack as well, which would remove the need to autopatch. Jeremy
...which would remove the need to autopatch. It would remove the need to AutoPatch for the present month, but not for the next.
