Shark007
As the title says.. you now need to be logged in to view an entire thread.EDIT1 - i take that back. you can't view an entire thread.. ever.I'm guessing this is some sort of new feature to save bandwidth.Geeezzzz, even when logged in, the forums are not friendly.Clicking on a link to view more posts still doesnt give you an entire thread, just the 1st post + the new link. This has extremely limited the usability of these forums.arrrrgggghhhhhhhh! It sucks.EDIT2: Another missleading thing I just discovered is the dropdown list at the bottom of the page lists the posters nic first (in bold text so you want to click it) , then the post. Clicking on the user nick (because it comes 1st) as a guest brings you to the logon pageEDIT3: Posts gone missing? In my codec pack thread, the 3rd post down used to contain a 'Tools section'. I can no longer find this post. Also, threads containing IMPORTANT information were linked to via the posts ID# which brought readers directly to the info they needed. These ID URL's no longer function. This ID URL used to bring you to the tools section before this latest update. As far as i can tell, the post no longer exists.Well thats about the end of my complaints/rants because I just realized that users need to switch from the boards new default view to 'Standard' view using the OPTIONS box in the upper right. Shark007
Thanks Martin, the standard view as default is appreciated.? i didnt do anything ? odd, for some reason the board view was set to 'Outline' for a period of time.I assumed you were just checking out the different default settings.. no matterAll is well now, and back to normal 'Standard' view.shark
Martin L
did you use google to search something, then gone to msfn from a google link? that would explain it, because google shows the outline as standard.
