Kampfzentrum Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 To all, (appreciate all who take the time to read this)OK, I'm want to print out small books from out of Microsoft Word, layout would be typical landscape on a 11"x8.75" piece of paper. However, I am trying to get the program to correlate them automatically, for instance:If the book has 8 pages (not including cover) the outside page would be (on the outside) pages 1 and 8; the inside of that very page would be pages 2 and 7. Get it? the next page would be (outside) pages 3 and 6 and (inside) page 4 and 5. This way I can just print the buzzards out and staple them together right down the middle and apply a cover - good to go.I have to assume that Word has a way that automatically puts this together without having to manually prepare it, which would be - don't mind my French - a complete pain in the arse.Steve
jaclaz Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 The function is available in newish versions of Word (2002/XP or 2003):http://thesource.ofallevil.com/education/createbooklet.mspxhttp://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/BookletPrinting.htm otherwise you need a few lines in VB Macro:http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/BookletMacro.htmhttp://www13.addr.com/~kenyonck/word/bookletprinting.htmor use the old method of "linked textboxes":http://support.microsoft.com/kb/120778/en-usjaclaz
